Great beginner ocarina!
The media could not be loaded. Great started ocarina. For the price, you honestly cannot go wrong. It is the standard size for alto C. It may sound out of tune if you don't know the finger placement for the scale, but once you learn it, you'll see it's in tune. I didn't realize that at first and almost returned it. Glad I kept playing around with it til I got the hang of it. If you are looking to learn the ocarina, I would definitely recommend this ocarina as a starting point. I didn't notice any smell that others have mentioned. It came with an awesome protective case that even my expensive ocarinas didn't come with. Very satisfied with this purchase.

Sounds great but there was a small chip
I gave this as a christmas gift. They love it and want to learn to play! It did have a chip in it but nothing to noticable.

Beautiful sound
Bought this for my nephew’s Easter basket. He loves music and instruments. He started playing it right away and we all loved the sound.

Beautiful instrument in aesthetics and sound
I am a recorder player that decided to give the ocarina a try. I love it! There is a small learning curve, but I've had fun learning the fingerings and playing familiar tunes. My only two complaints are that the neck strap is too small, and the song book is not musician friendly. I have thick dreadlocks, and I barely was able to get the strap over my head. The song book has mistakes in the fingerings, and the time signatures nor the measures are marked. The songs aren't written with the proper rhythm notes either. Those are small gripes that don't dimish the beauty of this instrument. If you get this instrument, you will definitely enjoy it!

Great little musical toy
I wasn’t sure if this was overpriced but having received and played it a bit, I’d say it’s not. Cute little instrument that gives you one octave of notes that are enjoyable and easy enough to play. Sounds nice. Looks good.

May the sounds of beautiful harmonies sore through the skies!
The media could not be loaded. If you are a huge Zelda fan like me, you probably loved the beautiful melodies of the Song Of Time, Sara's Lullaby, Song Of Storms and the many other wonderful harmonies and what a joy it would be to learn how to play your own music on an Ocarina. This Ocarina was just right for me starting out. It was a toss up on what color and design I wanted, being they are all quite nice. I finally decided to go with the pretty Ocean like blue with black. I did measure this Ocarina along the top and it is 7 in a half inches long. Fairly good size and weight. Easy to grip and hold. Note: This Ocarina is fragile being made from porcelain ceramic, so do handle with care. Comes with a lovely easy open and close black zipper case with strap. So you can take it anywhere in your travels. Also, a booklet that shows you how to play it, with some songs you can learn and lovely necklace. I have not learned how to play it yet. So I can't say the sound is perfect, but the few notes I did play sound quite nice. This would make a lovely gift for any Zelda fan and is a pretty unique piece of art to have displayed.
