The mechanism for mounting the bottle cages to the part that fixes to the bike is highly suspect. Two rows of meshed teeth and a single bolt hold it all in place. The movement I encountered after a few rides (maybe 200 miles) managed to cause the teeth to completely erode, leaving the bolt to un-do itself. Maybe some loctite and a lot of force on the bolt may have made a difference, but now the teeth are sheared that isn't something I can try, and I wouldn't risk purchasing new again.

I can't understand why this doesn't come with cage bolts when the bolts it requires are a bit non-standard for bikes. It needs very short ones. I found 10mm M5 bolts worked with my drinks cages. It's fiddly to adjust into place (more than it needs to be. And it does look rather chunky and clumsy.That said it has done the job for me. This bracket mounts cages on the sides, so I've used some side mounted (left and right hand) cages ( https://amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B002BWPKYQ ). I've done 120 miles so far and it's not ejected a bottle so far.

This is the second mount I've bought to carry extra water on longer rides. The fixings to the saddle rails are very firm and the rest of the mount is well constructed. My previous mount failed due to vibration, but this one is rock solid. My one piece of advice is choose the bottle cages wisely. I did not, and the bottles have a habit of bouncing out. This is not the fault of the mount though, but something that will help other riders :)

I ought this thinking I could get two more drink bottles on my bike. That's not the case. Make sure you but two more drink cages for the bike.If you're like me and you ride bikes better than you service them, don't buy this product.It may work when I figure it out but give me seven days.

I was pretty dissapointed with this. It ejected the bottles a number of times on a ride I did (not even going over big bumps). It then broke when I came to remove it. Poor quality. I sent it back and got a refund with no difficulty so at least that part went well. Instead, I zip tied a bottle cage to the back of my seat which actually worked reallly well.
