A must for the heat
My friend had one on the golf course and it was instantly cooling. I immediately ordered and it will be a staple in the SC summer heat

It works great in the Arizona summer heat
I wavered between the size L and XL. I wear a size L in women's shirts and tees, but I chose the XL since I will wear it over a shirt. It is a little roomy, but I am tall and it is just right in the length. If I were to order again, I would stick with the XL. I wore it horseback riding in 95 degree heat in Arizona; I was quite comfortable. It was breezy which I think helped me to feel cooler, but the breeze caused the vest to dry faster. My ride lasted just over two hours and the vest was still slightly damp when I got home. I selected the silver as I thought the color would be reflective of the heat. I am very glad I got this and will definitely use it this hot Arizona summer.

It’s cool, pun intended
Ok first off, it’s cool. They say to just get it wet and throw it on. It didn’t stay cool for long so I did some thinking. I have frog towels and we keep those damp and in their cases in the fridge. I bought 2 gallon ziplock bags. I got it wet, shook it out and put it in the bag then into the fridge! Now it’s staying cool for at least an hour! My only issue is the odd holes for the arms. I have no shoulders but I’m full figure… so I got a large. It will zip up for me but it’s tight and short. If I were to size up, it would stick out from my shoulders like 1980’s shoulder pads.I coach horse back riding lessons and I ride horses year round. I needed this because I get hot and dizzy. I bought a cheap brand of one too. This one works better! Just keep it damp in the fridge!

I have to say this is my best purchase ever
I have to say this is my best purchase ever. I have multiple sclerosis and am not tolerant to the heat. This vest has allowed me to garden, enjoy walking with my dog and children, go to the park, go to outdoor markets. This vest is amazing. It stays cool for at least five hours. The only thing is it makes your clothes a little damp. They dry quickly!! It is a little small for being an extra large. I knew this worked the first time I wore it when, my two year old looked at me, and said she wanted to go inside because she was hot!!! This is the first of many I will be purchasing!!! This is definitely a life changing item for me!!

Not as expected.
I bought this vest to help me get through a community event that was being held on a hot day. I followed the directions explicitly. It did not make me hotter by wearing it, but it did not cool me at all. There is also a slimly purple liquid that is on it once you wet it and it leaks out of the vest. I am disappointed because the idea is wonderful. Just didn't perform as advertised.

Will keep you cool...but will also keep you damp.
Works as you might expect, soak the vest in water to hydrate the gel, pop it on and the evaporative effect on the gel will help keep you cooler. I wear this vest under my mesh jacket while riding my motorcyle in hot weather. The vest fits as expected, based on the size chart - and it is on the short side by design - if you're riding (a bike or a horse) there isn't excess material folded up in your lap as there might be if it was significantly longer. While the vest does keep my core cooler, it also leaves me rather waterlogged - I wore this over a regular tee shirt and the tee was rather soggy after my ride.Also of note, on the first several wears, you might notice some gel "escaping" at the stitched seams in the vest (see photo).

This product is a lifesaver!!
We just returned from a motorcycle rally in Baker City, OR. Temperatures there were in the 100s, and at least 10 degrees hotter in central Oregon on our ride home. I honestly would not have survived without this vest! It's super easy to use -- it takes 2-3 minutes max to get it to absorb water, and then the evaporation keeps you cool for hours. It works great with a mesh jacket over the top, zipped up. I will never leave home without this vest when I'm riding in hot weather. I did think it was slightly larger than I expected, but it still fit fine and worked great.

I ordered this vest for my trip to Fla since I have MS and need to keep my body temp cool in the hot weather. Despite following the directions this vest is a bust and a waste of money for just keeping cool. It may work if you are biking and have air flowing over it but for "stationary " use try something else.
