Well worth the money!
If you are looking for a great pack for extended trips man this is the pack for you. First off the price...you cant even begin to compare to other brands. A 35 liter from another brand can be double what this bag is and this is a 90 liter pack. If you run out of room in this thing then you most likely should not be backpacking in the first place. But let me tell you this is so many storage options it is fantastic. One of my favorite things is that you can actually fit a normal size sleeping bag in the bottom compartment. Most bags do not allow that. Then after that you have plenty of room to attach a pad and tent. The waist straps are firm and large. The shoulder straps are very comfortable. The only thing I have ever complained about with high sierra is the horrible design of the chest compression strap. If you yank on the thing it will pop off - all of their bags are the same design and literally it is the one flaw out of all of them. Cant understand why they don't correct but it is what it is. There also is no gadget case on the shoulder straps like some other models. Other than that the design and comfort of the bag is great. You can easily place about 50 pounds in this thing and not feel too bad. It is also durable. One thing i like to do with anything nylon is when you see a thread that is loose simply hit it with a lighter to melt. it will only help and secure anything that may be slightly loose. And always remember if you abuse you're equipment don't expect it to last as long. This is a great bag!!! just look at the price and what it offers.

Very light and practical
My son has just returned from a month long trip around Europe, the back pack was perfect. It had to go in the oversize luggage for the flight because of the loose straps. However it's had some pretty hard use while he was away and it's still looking brand new. He told me that it was very comfortable on his back and the pockets all worked successfully. He was able to carry his phone, ipad, passports and travel itinerary securely in the pockets. Not sure that all of the yellow straps are necessary and are a bit of a nuisance. The back pack is light and with some careful packing of clothes and shoes he had plenty of room to spare. Very comfortable and the length was good for him, he's 6'1" and very slim. Very happy with the product and would highly recommend it.

Great size for international travel
We have done a more than a handful of trips with this bag and it was great. Air travel is known to give these a beating, but bag has taken it pretty well and looks very nice. It’s bigger than my last one - happy to be able to accommodate my belongings better without being so big that you regret having to carry it. Comfortable to carry, good balance on your shoulders and unique enough that is easy to spot on the carrousel : )

This pack is amazing. I needed something for a 7-8 day hike on the Appalachian trail. Just tested it on a quick 2 day hike in Red River Gorge in KY. First off the straps. Very comfortable and padded. Downside is the size of the hip straps are extremely big. If you have anything smaller than a 34" waist, don't get it, it won't fit right. Shoulder straps are great, thick padding, and a loop on each one for a bladder bag hose. Very adjustable in multiple aspects.Zippers are great as well. Very heavy duty, and some of the larger ones have fabric that rest over them, that way even light rain probably won't get into the pack. And holy pockets batman, this thing has enough room for a couch! The bottom compartment meant for a sleeping bag could also be unzipped from the inside to make the main compartment even bigger. However in the bottom compartment I could fit my sleeping bag, hammock, and hammock straps. Pockets on the side fit a Nalgene easy, and there is a gap between the pocket and the main pack, meaning poles could definitely be in placed inside. The best feature of this bag is the front facing zipper opening. Many bags only allow access at the top. This one you can lay down flat, and open a large flap right on the front of the bag. Its great. You get access at the top AND the front. No more digging around for this that or the other thing. Overall, this pack is outstanding. Yes, it is incredibly large, but you don't have to FILL it. I enjoy having space to shuffle things around and not have everything completely packed down tight. This is an amazing bag at an OUTSTANDING price.Edit on 1/14/2019: on my last hiking trip this past summer the chest strap broke off. Unfortunately it broke off at the stitching to the main shoulder strap, and not the plastic buckle. I dont think I am going to be able to use it again without the chest strap, so I will end up having to buy a new bag. I dont think I'll get the high Sierra again due to this flaw. Otherwise it has been a great pack.

This is a very nice back pack. I was searching sporting good stores for a quality backpack and with this you get the same quality made pack with all the straps you need including extra slots to strap onto. Saved me $110. My first back pack costed 175 lasted me probably a 1000 miles of hiking. I will test it out on my 4 week camp and hike adventure in Colorado/Washington state next month. So far I have it packed with what I need roughly 25% of my body weight, I am 5'11" 200 pounds. Pack fits great as I adjusted it perfectly.I did a walk around the block the only thing that I find strange is the chest strap. It has clips that hold onto the shoulder straps. But I adjusted it to where they won't slide off. I read a review of a guy saying it broke. Which my case all you have to do is give it a push to snap it back on and adjust it to where it won't slide off. I really love this. And I will likely order another today for my wife!

Just What I Needed!
I was doing a bit of research on the most durable yet affordable backpacking backpack since I've backpacked through Vietnam, Thailand, and Burma with a crappy fake NF one I got in Vietnam. I would recommend this bag to anyone on a budget and wants a good quality product. It fits a ton of stuff and I really love all of the pockets/zipper spaces. The material seems a bit cheap, but you can't expect to get goretex or Osprey quality for this price. Otherwise, a perfect buy for the budget traveler.

Excelente mochila
