I see the description says to hand wash. Has anyone tried to machine wash it? If so, did the bra get ruined?

I machine wash and dry, and it's held up for years. I run it with stretchy fabrics/exercise wear. Sometimes it's been pulled out for a drip dry, but it's a cheap bra. I don't baby it.
