ENZOO Conical Burr Coffee Grinder better than Krups GX5000
Decided to give the ENZOO Conical Burr Coffee Grinder a try after getting fed up with my Krups GX5000 disk burr grinder. Originally bought the Krups to get a more consistent grind than our old blade grinder. Unfortunately, the Krups had one fatal flaw - regardless of grind setting, about 1/5 of the coffee grounds came out as very fine powder...which made for bitter drip coffee. When I bought a conical hand grinder (also pictured), I quickly realized how bitter the Krups grinder was making my coffee. The conical hand grinder, despite being cheap, produced a fairly consistent grind size and a much smoother cup of coffee. Looking for a conical burr electric grinder, I found several options over $100 and then I ran across the ENZOO for half the price (about the same as the Krups) and decided to give it a try.Initial impressions: The grinder came reasonably well packed in paperboard (instead of styrofoam). The hopper and grind container are tinted plastic (to help preserve bean freshness?). The plastic is a tad thinner than I'd like (similar to the Krups), but with a bit of care shouldn't be a problem. The grind head is a single piece containing the stainless steel cones in a metal frame with a cosmetic plastic shell and feels sturdy/good quality. The hopper and grind head are removable and have little doors that close when removed so beans don't spill everywhere when disassembled. Inside the lid of the hopper are clips to hold the scoop and cleaning brush. The base where the grind catcher sits is removable and sits on small spring pins that lightly press the container against the grinder outlet to prevent the escape of ground coffee...but the positioning of the container is a tad sloppy and requires a little jiggle to seat it well. Grind adjustment is via a dial on the grind head. It has a scale from 1 (fine) to 10 (coarse) and clicks 40 times between them (grind example of 1 and 10 are pictured). The automatic grind timer has 5 settings in 10 second increments (shown by 1 of 5 lighted icons on the front). Overall the unit seems reasonably thought out and constructed, particularly good for the price point.First uses: For brewing our typical morning pot of coffee, I found that setting the grind to about 6.5 and the timer to 3 (30 seconds) was about right. The grounds produced were fairly consistent in size and, unlike the Krups, didn't produce any noticeable fine powder. Electric grinding and plastic containers always seem to result in static, but this grinder seems much less messy than the Krups. I don't use the espresso filler attachment, but assume this might produce more mess. Another thing to note is that this grinder is not nearly as loud as the Krups. The best part is that, using the same beans and the same brewing method, the resulting coffee was similar to the hand-ground coffee (not bitter like the Krups). A big win in my book...push a button and wait 30 seconds is much better than 3 or 4 minutes hand grinding enough for a pot of coffee. Cleaning the grind head isn't too difficult as you can leave the bean hopper filled and simply remove the head, dump the tablespoon of beans in the head back in the hopper, and work the brush around the head. The only complaint here is that you cannot remove the inner and/or outer cone, so a thorough cleaning is more difficult than my hand grinder (that has a removable inner cone) but is easier than the Krups. There is always a little concern with longevity of an inexpensive Chinese product, but so far I am very pleased with this purchase. If it continues to perform as well as it has thus far, it is well worth the purchase...and if it does not, I will update this review. If you enjoy a cup of good, smooth, not bitter, home ground coffee, I would recommend giving this grinder a try.

Fantastic product for the money.
Pros.Really nice desgin: it just works. No jams. No spills. No drama. No holdup (pretty much everything that goes in, comes out - within 0.1g). Powerful motor. Large conical burr (important because otherwise the burr overheats and burns the coffee). Fairly easy to clean (can be disassembled). I've had this for 3 years and it works and looks like new.Cons.A little loud but not an issue for me.Can be disassembled but you can't disassemble the burrs. This makes it a little harder to clean than I'd prefer.

A Solid Grinder for about 50 Bucks, But Perhaps Not for Heavy Use
I have bought 3 of these Enzoo Coffee Grinders. My initial purchase was for our home in Texas. I liked it so much a few months later I added one as a gift to a close relative. That worked out so well, I finally bought one for our main home in Costa Rica. The first unit is still used Texas, and it has worked quite well for about three and a half years. As of late, it's fairly lightly used, since I spend most my time in Costa Rica. But for at least the first 18 months, it was worked hard grinding coffee for three pots a day on average. And it always performed well, certainly exceeding my expectations for a $50 Conical Burr Grinder. It has, and is still is, delivering solid service with very consistent quality grinds. And there is lots more to like about this grinder. It's easy to clean since the grinder head is effortlessly removed. And has a nifty removable hopper making refills of coffee beans equally effortless. The run timer control is simple to use with 5 settings, and the Enzoo has a very wide range of grind adjustments - from quite fine to very coarse. What's more it's fairly quiet while in operation, and to me, it even looks good on the counter. On the other hand, the unit I use in Costa Rica has not work out as well. This unit does get very heavy daily use since I grind between 120 to 500 grams of coffee a day. This is because I'm in the coffee export business. And as a result, in our home environment we roast, grind, brew and enjoy a range of different coffees almost every day... very often with employees, friends and neighbors joining in. And it is in this heavy use role that the little Enzoo Grinder has struggled. After less than 8 month's use, it now easily jams up, especially so when tackling the harder beans of mid-light to mid-dark roasts. My coffee business specializes in exporting 'premium specialty' coffees from Central America, almost always of the high altitude grown SHB (Strictly Hard Bean) variety. This means the mostly the hard bean coffee we consume taxes the Enzoo grinder. But while it works hard, I might also mention, our grinder does get good care and is cleaned at least daily. What's more, I never run large batches through it at any one time (almost always less that 65 grams per batch). So, while in my home we grind quiet a bit more coffee in a day than most home users would, 8 months of life is on the short end of what I had expected of this grinder.Nonetheless, in my mind, for about $50 for a feature rich Conical Burr Grinder the Enzoo has proven to be a reasonably solid offering for the typical home coffee consumer. In this roles, I'd suspect that the Enzoo will give many years of good service. On the other hand, if your family is a very heavy coffee consumer, or you plan to use your grinder in office/business setting, your might want to think about a more robust device. I know I am. And that means a more commercial design, featuring titanium or ceramic alloy burrs in the grinder head, having all (or mostly) metal construction, and using at least a 250 watt motor with metal gears. If so, it surely won't be a $50 grinder.

Buen molino a buen precio.
Me gusto mucho el molino, los materiales no son los de más alta calidad pero cumple bien su función y el diseño es muy bonito, aunque la molienda para espresso queda más gruesa de lo que se requiere pero para otros métodos de preparación funciona muy bien.
