Tommy Bahama Portable Beach Tent

I purchased this item for an upcoming trip to Myrtle Beach SC, I was able to put the shelter together in a matter of minutes. Once you start getting it together the process is very easy. The shelter is very large and has convenient air vents. The color is good and it also has ground stakes for added sturdiness. I put it together in my living room . The instructions look a little confusing at first glance but hang in there, I assure you it will be made plain. I am giving this 4 stars bc the thread on the top slot of the shelter is already unraveling. The thread on the carry bag strap is also undone completely. This was a disappointment and I’d rather not send it back for that. I haven’t used this yet however, I hope it is quality as there were several other options I could have purchased for less money. The carry bag is a nice option and was one pro that led to this purchase. The shelter weighs about 4 1/2 pds in the carry bag. I’ll have to do some sewing but it will probably make for a better item!

It’s easy to put up. It was great to have at the beach with a baby. It blocks the sun and the wind off outback baby which was great. The wind scared him. So I’m happy with it in that regard. It’s easy to carry and folds up small. I don’t think it will last very long though. After one use for a couple hours on a not very windy day, it was already ripping on the bottom at the back by one of the poles. I attached a picture to see. The fabric is just to cheap and weak.

The wind wasn’t my friend while putting it together on the beach however other than that it was quick. It took about 6 minutes to set up. Once it was up, we loved it. We opened the two window flaps to allow the wind to blow through, so it wouldn’t take flight.

This was super easy to put together, by myself in the wind in the beach, no kidding.It seems great quality, and was just what we needed for breaks from the sun at the beach all day. It does come with stakes to help keep it in place, however the wind was strong and i had to repetition the stakes a few times throughout the day, but seriously, no biggie. For the sand, i would have preferred a better anchoring system than just the straight shorter aluminum stakes. i imagine for grass/soil, they would work perfectly. I'm going to order some other buriable stakes to use this at the beach, but it was hardly an issue really; just for my peace of mind.

I used this on the beach. I did a practice assembly before I was going to use it. Takes less than 3-5 minutes to assemble. The anchoring stakes could be longer. SOF 100+ kept me sunburn free. The screened windows unzipper for cross ventilation. Had a cool breeze. I love this sunscreen tent. Cleans easy. Folds back up into the carry bag. Lightweight to carry. I didn't use chairs but i would think you need short beach chairs. One problem was the stakes are small. Ez to lose in sand . They should be heavier metal and longer.

Love, love. LOVED? this portable beach tent until Saturday. On the tenth day of use we got to the beach and I proceeded to set it up, found that one of clips had fallen off (sewn/attached with a piece of fabric)... hmm okay I can just not use one and figure it out later. Then while putting it together TWO MORE fall off. The sewing literally came completely undone. Pole clips in the sand, no shade... thank god I brought the Superumbrella along just in case. Unfortunate because I really like the overall funcitonality... if they would just make it to last. Keep in mind I keep my things nice and don't abuse them... so this definitely wasn't a user issue.

I love this product. It protected us perfectly at the beach. Great purchase.

Really awesome product for the price. It's relatively easy to set up (did a test run in our living room first, which I highly recommend doing) and also relatively easy to break down and put back away. It's really great for our super pale family. The windows are nice and helpful to let the breeze pass through so it doesn't get too hot. It comes with stakes, but I feel they could stand to be longer to make it more sturdy.

Arrived so quickly & was exactly what I wanted. I had tried one belonging to my son last summer & really wanted one for the beach. Goes together easily; good size-- you can fit two beach chairs inside comfortably. Do have to watch wind but with some weight inside & tie downs, it stays in place. Perfect for beach, park, etc. Very compact & easy to take along on outings.

Good quality but not very sturdy. it was missing a piece too

Big enough for two adults and appears well made. Easy to set up too! Love the color of the fabric.
