Samsung LS24E65UDWG/ZA 24" S24E650DW 1920x1200 LED Monitor for Business,Black

The major reason I got this is because of the vertical resolution, 1200 lines vice 1080. Since I spend a lot of time with remote desktop to servers where the default display is 1920 x 1200 this is far superior to the vanilla 1920 x 1080 that most 24" monitors support. Much cheaper than the older screen this replaced. (that one died.) and seems much crisper. It's also a lot lighter and comes with the mounting holes in the back necessary for a standard multi-screen stand.

I purchased this 24" monitor to replace an older Samsung SyncMaster 245T. After a few weeks of testing I am not impressed. By comparing the 5yr old monitor to this new version unfortunately this monitor is half the video quality of the older one. I am disappointed. I will be searching for another 24" monitor. I used the same VDI cable, video card, and computer with the same setup as before (just took the old monitor which is dying out and put this one and put back the old one). But the quality and settings available are just not the same. The sharpness of movies on the old one are incredible... almost like a 4K TV. This monitor looks completely different... something is seriously lacking in the picture quality. I'll try different cable options such as HDMI and Display port. For now I plan to donate this device and continue to search for a higher quality 24" monitor. Something that comes closer to my old SyncMaster 245T.Replaced with LG 27UD68-P 27-Inch 4K UHD IPS Monitor with FreeSync from Amazon. This monitor donated to local Salvation Army. I could be just my preference.... I am just used to high quality TV and monitors.

I did not use this monitor almost every day until the past few months. Controls are not so user friendly but the main issue was it started blacking out and then stopped working.Samsung support was great. I used the on-line chat and they walked me through the trouble shooting step by step in about 15 minutes. Ultimately they advised I need to do a service request to repair internal parts and the warranty had expired.Just purchased a new monitor and will never purchase another Samsung. Need more durability regardless of the price.

Had 2 of this exact model which worked flawlessly for years (burned in house fire). This one lasted less than 6 hours and died in its sleep - some internal fuse gave up, no indicator lights of anything whatsoever. Was plugged into power conditioner UPS along with all other electronics (which are fine). This one was total junk. 'Had to' beat the vendor over the proverbial head and shoulders with a ball bat to get them to even claim to do right (still unresolved as of this writing).

We wanted the 1920x1200 resolution and the picture quality of this monitor has been wonderful. I've purchased a lot of these Samsung monitors for work, and they all seem to last over 4 years.

Can't get this to work with my Apple MacBook Pro. I've tried several connectors and configurations nothing worked.

Quality was not good for games. Poor response, lots of frame ghosting. Sent it back after using it for 1 minute. Amazon's customer service is the best and refunded it. After returning it I bought a Dell u2412m and am much happier.
