I was a bit sceptical of the whole purchase & fitting of this. But really had no choice. My original Huawei P9 was almost dead and didn't really need a new phone so gave it a go.Firstly the fitting, the tools are ok but watch a video and use the plectrum shaped thing to for easing the case off. I used a Stanley knife to get it started, managed to remove the screen first so had to find another groove to remove the case. This was a bit fiddly but was ok, just ease the case apart. Its worth connecting the new battery and testing it at this stage. Battery removal was a bit fraught, it bends really easily and potentially will get really hot but mine didnt. The glue smells like chewing gum and is really sticky. Take care not to damage the strip connectors when removing the battery. Remove and then replace with new battery, reconnect, can be a bit fiddly but all doable. All in all it took me about 90 mins as I took it really slowly and didnt want to break anything. I reckon now I could do it in about 10!The product works really well, had it about 5 days so lets see how it goes over time but so far charges at a good rate and retains the charge really well. Normal use, whatever that is, a 100% charge last well over 24 hours. And I watch youtube videos, surf and play games.All in all I was not confident of my abilities to do this, but take it slowly, watch a couple of videos and you will be fine. A good, so far, purchase which really did exceed my expectations.

The battery on my Huawei P9 was lasting about 6 hours from full charge to flat and it would sometimes switch off during a phone call. I like the P9 and can't be bothered with getting a new phone and spending ages getting it set up how I like it, so a new battery seemed like a good idea and this one was the best as it has a bit more mAH than the others.The new battery arrived next day along with a pair of phone opening pliers. I watched a couple of you tube videos on how to do it and started. The phone opening pliers allowed for a much more controlled opening of the case without damage. The glue behind the battery wouldn't come out like they show you and so it had to be prized out of the case gently. It eventually came out using the supplied spodger as a lever. I cut the supplied glue stick down as it was too long and too wide, new battery fitted, connectors reconnected, case clipped and screwed back together. Done.Well that was easy.Battery life is now better than when the phone was new and it was good then. So a good purchase and it is easier than it sounds to replace the battery.A couple of things that may help;For safety make sure your old battery is as flat a possible before you start as it is easy to puncture it when getting it out.Warm up your phone before you start, this will soften the glue holding the battery in.

There is a very good YouTube tutorial to follow posted by another, with lot of helpful comments by others. It is clear and honest and in real time. I couldn't do it as fast as the technician, he took 30-40 mind and I took twice as long. The two tricky bits are getting the case open, and getting the old battery out, as it is glued\taped in very well. The tools with the battery are very helpful, if not essential. The kit arrived promptly.

I got a lot of issues with this product, the first they sent to me was completely defected: the flat was 1mm too short, so I wasn't able to install it on my phone.I had to wait one week to get a replacement, and also the second one was slightly short, but this time, it wasn't that short that I couldn't fit in the phone, I managed to put it in somehow.The problem is, with both products, the first one and the replacement, I got the wrong screwdriver to open the phone, instead of the pentalobe one I got the hexalobe, so they gently sent me the right one.So, with two products, I saw in both these defects: the battery's flat is too short and the screwdriver was the wrong one.I ended up with the conclusion that either the product is not specifically for P9 or either the fabric did a bad job.For now, I didn't encounter any problem with the second battery they sent me that I have installed, but I will see how it works in the next weeks (as the first one, wasn't even working properly, so I'm a little bit worried).Another bad thing about this product is the lack of the tape to fix the battery on the phone, it is not relevant tough, but it was something that they should've put.Overall, the product is surely a high-quality one, but with all the issues I had, an entire week with no phone and the long waiting for the delivery (it is from Germany, so reasonable), well, I can give no more than 3 stars for this review, I want to state also that I would have only one star, but the company is working well and replying the mail asap and trying to satisfy the customers, so I gave 2 more stars only for trustIf I will have the chance, I will trust my money again in the company, hopefully, with no problems next time.this review may change in the future, depending on how will the product behave.EDIT - 10/05/19right after I changed the battery, I gave my phone to my mother since I got another one, and only after a few months from purchase, the battery was already a goner, it did last more or less 5 months without giving problems from my mom's report.long story short, this product is trash. do not buy it, I wasted 20 bucks and a lot of time on this... it's a shame, although, the customer service is something that must be appreciated

This battery came with a nice installation kit which helped with swapping it out, although a Stanley blade proved the most effective tool for opening my phone case. The battery seems to be good quality (connector looked solid, etc.) and fitted perfectly. I'm a month or so down the line post-replacement and so far all is good.

Fitted in to my P9 but it didn't solve my problem, it work a bit longer than my previous but still not enoughMight be my phone

Great replacement would be better if it was cheaper

The battery works fine but the tools it comes with are completely useless and do not enable replacement of the battery.
