Karcher K2 High Pressure Washer Premium Car & Home, BLK/YELLOW, 16732240, K2 CAR AND HOME

First time user of a Karcher pressure washer and it outshines others I've had in the past. I opted for the K2 because I don't have significantly large areas that require a more powerful model. At first I was concerned that it was not as good as my previous power washer. Using the maximum jet setting on the 'vario' lance it did not seem to be as strong as the jet appeared more spread out, i.e. less focused at ground level. However, switching to the 'dirtblaster' lance gave an altogether different result. Although, again, not as focused at the point of impact, the rotating nozzle of the 'dirtblaster' was clearly working extremely well and was doing a much better job than my old, highly focused jet washer. The old model was rated at 1800W so it seems, with clever design, the 1400W K2 is even more efficient. The K2 is remarkably light weight and everything (except the patio cleaner attachment) fits neatly on the base unit when the job's done.Haven't tried the patio/decking cleaner yet but have every confidence that it too will be up to the job.Overall, so far highly pleased with my purchase from Amazon - I had looked at reconditioned models on the Karcher outlet site which seemed to offer very good deals but when the cost of postage and the finance charge for using a credit card were added, it did not make sense to buy from there. Efficient delivery service as always....thank you AmazonUpdate 24/7/13:Is Amazon selling older stock??? I am very pleased with my pressure washer but when I ordered an extension hose from Amazon which was described as being suitable for a K2 I was disappointed to find it was NOT suitable at all. The hose sent has the 'new' push fit type end fittings and my K2 has the older screw fittings! I wonder why? I should have thought buying a new item from Amazon would have meant getting the latest model - obviously not.Or is it the fault of Karcher? There seems to be quite a bit of disquiet about compatibility with Karcher products because when I tried to order an extension hose with the 'old' fittings Amazon would not process the order saying the product was "under review".Future buyers beware! If you are thinking of the K2 as advertised on Amazon make sure it is the most up-to-date model so as to be compatible with the accessories.

I bought this item from the Amazon warehouse, and the item itself was pristine. The packaging was a bit crushed, But everything was in its rightful place with no items missing.Now onto the pressure washer itself. What can I say, it is absolutely brilliant.I bought a new 4x4, and I wasn't really willing to trust it with the hand car wash around the corner as they scratched paintwork on a previous car.Are uses pressure washer to originally sprayed the car with no foam which is very easily done.The machine itself has a little tube which is in place inside an open bottle of car wash so as you are using the motor, it sucks out the car wash liquid.I could then vary pressure washer using the attached nozzle and change both the wait and force of the jet stream.It was actually wonderful, and made washing my car very pleasant - it is very addictive watching the force of the jet wiping the grime off of the car.All the attachment of easy to fix, and the machine is only active when any to build up pressure.Given the motor is pumping, you actually need to use very little water, which is very handy given my part of the United Kingdom quite often has a hosepipe ban in force.I am yet to use the patio cleaner, but given in the shops this call costs about £200 at the time of purchase and I bought it for £57, I am very over the moon.Will highly recommend this quality item.

It's been a long time since my previous Karcher Pressure Washer gave up the ghost. The slabs on my patio looked grimy & bleach hadn't got them really clean, so I decided to give another Karcher a try. The design has changed considerably compared to my previous model & now includes the T150 T-Racer attachment which is marketed specifically for splash-free cleaning of patios etc. The product arrived the next day (on Prime) & was very straight forward to assemble, requiring no tools. I was able to attach my Hozelock curly hose to the Karcher unit using the Hozelock connector already fitted. Operation is simple - once the unit is assembled, fully turn on the water, turn the unit to the 'On' position & plug into the mains. Depressing the lever on the trigger gun turns on the appliance & water flows to the T-Racer (or lance). The T-Racer is placed flat on the patio surface & just moved around - no scrubbing is required. The amount of dirt that this removed was unbelievable - I could see circular marks on the slabs where the attachment had done its work. I used only for a quick trial on this first occasion, but it was enough to know that it will do the job for which it was purchased. I did not use the patio cleaner that was provided the the appliance - the dirt was removed with just water!! Highly recommended piece of kit. 4* for now, but am sure it will be updated to 5 once I've used it properly next week.Update 8/11/16 - having now used properly to clean my patio, I can confirm that it does a fantastic job of shifting ingrained dirt. The slabs are now beautifully clean & all achieved with only water!! I will however leave my rating as 4* because the unit is 'plasticy' as other reviewers have commented & I don't know how robust it will prove to be.

Much less heavy than my similar 20 yr old Karcher that developed a leak so easy to carry, but also very flimsy in comparison, made of thin plastic for the handle and so on. But when assembled it seems robust enough, though make sure the handle is actually engaged. It required a lot of force to get the handle clips pushed into place and locked properly but otherwise it is a quick and straightforward process. The performance in use is very good on cars, block and real stone paving (like all washers test a patch of concrete patio paving first as it cleans well but can remove the top layer leaving ugly exposed aggregate), plastic outdoor tables and chairs, wood decking, you name it. The adjustable lance is my tool of choice and does everything without bothering with the other tools. Unless you need something for constant or really heavy use, or with a longer hose, this model will meet usual domestic needs. The on board storage for the hose and electric cable could be better and the rotary washer attachment will need to be stored separately.

I wanted a compact but powerful washer that wouldnt break my back nor take up too muchroom in the garage.First I asked myself just what do I need a pressure washer for?Washing the car was an obvious use and maybe keeping the stone patio area clean along with some wooden decking.None of the above needed an ultra powerful washer so I settled on the Karcher K2.What a fantastic piece of kit!It arrived within a couple of days, (great service) dead easy to put together, and was put into use straight away.Made car washing easy, and several years of grime on Stone paving slabs to the drive disappeared quickly.Its such a joy to use that I am looking forward to finding other things to clean.The only drawback is that I feel the pressure hose could have been longer, but Karcher do a range of accessories that will fit, so maybe I will invest in a longer hose.Excellent value for money and great service from Amazon.
