Go with size xl if you're an adult
The large size is more for youth age and not adults. When I ordered an xl, the first cup came in as used, due to evidence of a hair strand, looked like someone wiped it clean due tiny bits of baby wipes left behind and the discolor on the edges of the silicon thing. Notified Amazon and got it replaced with a new one. Would have been 5 stars if the design for the air way was a bit different and didn't have to deal with a used cup in the first place.

Good cup, terrible description and advertising
All the reviews about size issues is legitimate. The description does not match the product accurately enough and this thing was way too big for "ages 10-14".I went to a local sporting goods store and found the same brand and on the back it shows multiple tiers of sizes.For example, there is a Small Cup size and within that there is boys small, medium, or large.This thing said youth sizes medium and it was larger than the small cup boys medium I saw in the store.If you can decipher the measurement chart (in Chinese I assume) it'll tell more than you'll find in the descriptions.

Tip for hockey players
Great replacement cups for hockey jock strap shorts, if cup that comes with the shorts cracks. Bought a two pack of these instead of buying a who new set of the jock strap shorts and saved a considerable amount of money. These have not cracked and are a sturdier product than the cups that come with the hockey jock strap shorts/tights.
