Wildgame Innovations Halo 400 Yard Laser Rangefinder

When you buy this range finder, you can't be expecting anything too great. All it does is read the yards; which is all I needed it for. I'm a college golfer and I can't afford a $300 range finder that I would use for basically the same thing. I had a golf tournament this weekend, and we had a practice round with carts. I would stand next to the cart and aim (steadily) at the pin and get the same exact reading of the card navigation system almost every time. For those who its not working for, you may not have steady enough hands for it. If you're hands shake bad, this won't be any good for you. This device read a golf flag to at least 192 yards for me. As far as the battery goes, I take mine out until I have to golf again and its been doing me pretty good! Overall, this was a great buy for me and I would do it all over again if I had the choice.

Bought this as a replacement for a more expensive unit that failed. Very satisfied with the performance. A little hard to see in dim light, but I use the range finder to find target distances not track moving targets so I range early and know the distances early. Very nice compact size. Service with Amazon was great on this purchase.

Says it will go up to 400 yards and your lucky to get 225 yards out of it on a sunny day.

After about a year, it stopped working. Bought new batteries and nothing. :( It just does not work anymore. Wish I can get the money back, but it seems more expensive trying to get it back than buying a good one

The unit must be kept dry, or the lenses will fog externally. Its point and click is nice and quick. However you must pack extra CR2 batteries into the field with you. This unit chews through them. If your scouting terrain, and spot for hunting, you'll want the extra batteries on hand.

This is a good, basic rangefinder for the price. It's accurate and simple enough to use without opening the manual. It is very small - to the point of being hard to handle if you have larger hands.Overall, I'm pleasantly surprised with how well it works given the price.

I bought this range finder because of the price, and because I thought there were a decent amount of reviews I could count on. There were. This rangefinder is great, I get accurate readings and I have no complains. None of the extra bells and whistles needed, just point and shoot. I am not having any of the issues I was concerned about having that other reviewers stated. A+ except for the battery cost, but that has nothing to do with the product.
