Strathwood Bainbridge Cast Aluminum Dining Chair with Cushion, Set of 2

I absolutely love these chairs, not only are they good looking but they come with high density foam in the seat cushions. These were so easy to put together, my daughter and I did both in under 1/2 an hour. The directions are simple and advise you to but in all screws before tightening. They were packed well and delivered on time. They look great on my patio!! Love Them!!!

These chairs are great. Very sturdy with rugged powder coated finish and heavy rubber levelors on feet.

1 stars because it is made in China, and the assembly instructions are almost worthless, it arrived in a very sturdy box, but it was not well packed enough to prevent chipping of the finish. I would have given it 4 stars if it had been made in the USA, was well packed to prevent damage and had good instructions.I will upload a scan of the instructions so others can see what they would be dealing with if they buy this chair.It took me approx 40 minutes to assemble one chair, which included getting it out of the package, and the time it took me to decode the instructions.Although the instructions mention using a screwdriver, you will not need one for this chair, instead you will need a box wrench or a pair of pliers to tighten the bolts.Vine sent me one chair to evaluate.I cost compared similar items at Sam's club, since I wanted to have an idea of what was a fair price for a pair of outdoor chairs.While it is true that you can get a pair of chairs for about half the price of this set at Sam's club, the set at Sam's club is not nearly as well made, attractive, or sturdy.But because the fabric looks so cheap and the finish had many chips and scrapes, this chair is overpriced and should be more in the two for under $89.00 catagory.Overall I would not recommend

Upon unpacking we noticed that the arms and backs on the side pieces of each chair had paint chipped or peeling off. Living near the ocean once the paint is chipped it leaves the aluminum open to the harsh elements and we would anticipate an annual task to repaint them to prevent deterioration. Very disappointing considering they are not cheap items. Previously purchased similar chairs from Lowe's and never had this problem. Please advise on what you would propose to remedy this situation.

UPDATE: A year later, they're holding up just fine. We're enjoying them. No new peeling, finish looks fine for the most part. The areas that were initially peeling have gotten a bit larger, but I have come to believe this was an error in the manufacturing process (i.e. maybe those spots weren't primed or sanded properly).===================I'm laughing at some of the other reviews, about the instructions being vague or confusing.The base attaches with 4 bolts, and the back attaches with 4 bolts. The most straight-forward thing you could imagine. Assembly took under 5 minutes by myself. The only tool required is a wrench or pair of pliers (a socket set is best, if you have one).We ordered this chair because the style was very similar to ones we already have (we found an end-of-season deal for a different brand for $27 each at Target). The Strathwood Bainbridge chairs do indeed look nicer - the back is a very nice design, neat edge design, aluminum cast makes it both light and durable.But I have 3 complaints. First, the finish is peeling off in spots, right out of the box. The Target chairs (at 1/4th the cost) are holding up great after being exposed to the elements for almost 2 years.My 2nd complaint is the chair is a little tweaked, and doesn't quite sit straight. Not a huge deal, I can fix by bending the frame. But that leads me to the 3rd complaint - the price is just too high for something that's not perfect right out of the box.Otherwise I think it's a beautiful chair - right size, very comfortable, ~really~ love the color. The chipped paint is on the base, covered by the cushion so not a huge deal. And I find it super comfortable for inside or outside. But with the problems I mentioned I can't bring myself to give it a full endorsement.

These chairs are very sturdy and have good weight to them. They will not be blown around in a strong wind. They are also very pretty and are good value for the money. They were easy to put together, as they are well designed. I wish they came with a chat table to form a conversation set. The manufacturer should make one to match these chairs.

You have to put these chairs together yourself, but the instructions are okay to do that. I had a different problem relating to the number of cushions delivered. I received 5 chairs, but only 3 cushions. After many emails, the company finally understood that the way the shipment was packaged, I did not receive the right amount of parts. In the end, they sent the correct number of cushions and the chairs are quite comfortable. Really nice finish and fits with my overall patio design.

Happy so far, easy assembly and looks good and well built. Looked everywhere for furniture at all the stores and found this a value you can feel good about and for the great price...... Not sure how the finish will hold, because it is outside, they are sturdy.
