Works well. Heavy duty and smooth. But, the installation was very difficult on a wall, because the drum's in the way. Would be better if the base were t-shaped and the mounting points were not blocked by the drum. 1/2 star off for the struggle.There were other complaints about leaks, but mine is fine with liberal application of Teflon tape.

This hose Reel comes preassembled and ready to mount. It's made of sturdy steel construction and holds a full 100 ft. of 3/8" air hose. My only complaint is that the inlet and outlet connections are both 3/8" female NPT while most commercially available 3/8" air hose comes with 1/4" NPT male end fittings. This wasn't a deal breaker, but it cost me an extra ten bucks or so and a trip to the hardware store to make it fit to my inlet and outlet hoses. One aspect of this hose reel that I really like is it's simplicity. it doesn't automatically rewind like many of the fancier and more expensive designs, but since I usually extend my air hose while in use and leave it extended, I don't have to fight with a reel that constantly tugs at my hose wanting to reel it back in. Another great design feature of this reel is its spring loaded design that puts a slight resisting torque on the reel drum preventing it from freewheeling and overfeeding the hose. This feature works better than I expected. One other manufacturing glitch I found was that the 3/8" elbow discharge that connects to the hose was installed extremely tightly, and I couldn't budge it loose to adjust its angle. Again this was a minor issue, but it would have been better if the elbow fitting wasn't installed so tightly. All in all though, I've very satisfied with this hose reel, and it was a real bargain for the price. If you like this type of design, I'd recommend buying one of these. If it weren't for the couple of minor issues mentioned above, I'd give it a full 5 stars.

Easy to set up and connect the hoses. Don't forget the Teflon tape so there are no air leaks. Works as expected. The seller was easy to deal with and my stuff arrived early. Thanks.

i'm a huge fan of the "blue reels" but not a fan of the price that comes with it so i thought i'd give this a try. it's advertised as an air hose reel but i wanted another pressure washer reel that i could mount on my 4400psi machine. it holds 100ft of my 3/8 - steel braided hose perfectly with room to spare. i was concerned about the swivel holding up under that much pressure but it held up well. i purchased a higher pressure swivel just in case but didn't have to use it.this product is extremely heavy duty and built well. the fittings are 3/8 npt so i didn't have to modify any connections as long as your hose ends are 3/8 as well.

When I got it I thought it was too small, but it actually does hold the 100ft of hose.

Its great for power washing and it should be marketed for that. Other folks complain when they try it for an air hose. Air and water are two different sizes. I bought the Flexzilla air hose reel and hose also and it is the exact same reel except the plumbing and and threads are smaller. See picture. I'm glad I bout this reel for pressure washing because it is perfect for that. The price was crazy low on sale. It's just not really for air that's all.

This is the second of their reals I have purchased during the past 4 years. Good value and sturdiness. Hard to beat.
