Wouldn't the flexible swivel stick work even if your holding tank is directly beneath the toilet?

I find that the flexible design is easier to maneuver around toilet versus the stiffness of a garden hose. I am very satisfied with the flexible product.

When would i use this over the rhino blaster?  many swivel users have told they get spray back into the bathroom. how is that avoided?

The water jet produced by the Camco Rhino Blaster would be sufficient to knock debris off the walls of your holding tanks if the drain pipe had no bends between it and the holding tank. Consequently, the Rhino Blaster can only blast out the drain pipe. However, the Camco Flexible Swivel Stick, when inserted down the toilet, can follow the bends, if any, down to the blackwater holding tank, without worry of becoming stuck when you retrieve it, due to its conical head design. The water jets on the Swivel Stick can be used to knock the crap off the pipe descending below the RV toilet to the holding tank, with one obvious problem to overcome, the rebounding spray of fecal contaminated water. The solution is: 1. clean your toilet bowl first. 2. Dry the toilet bowel, especially the rim. 3. Get two 13 gallon garbage bags, cut off the bottom inch of each as evenly (straight) as possible using scissors, which will leave you with 2 plastic tubes, 4. tape the bottoms together seamlessly by using 1 inch wide 3M Blue Painter's Tape. This can be frustrating without practice. 5. Pull out a strip of Blue tape wider than the garbage-bag-tube you just put together and lay it on a clean flat surface in a perfect straight line. 6. position the edge of one open end of the tube to cover half of the blue tape. 7 Very carefully lift the top edge of the bag and fold it backwards to expose the inside edge of the bag that is laying over 1/2 the width of the blue tape. 8 Pull another strip of blue tape and apply it sticky side down on top of the blue tape that is stuck onto the flat surface so that you have trapped the garbage bag tube. 9. Now pull the tape stuck to the flat surface off, turn it so that the sticky side faces up, and cover it precisely with a matching length of blue tape facing down. In completing this step, one side of your tube has a piece of tape that is protected by a tape strip that protects it from sticking to anything until you are ready to peel off the outside layer of tape. 10. Repeat for the opposite side. 11. Roll your plastic-garbage-bag-tube until you can reach far enough through the tube to easily reach the blue tape at the bottom of the tube. 12 Pull off the outside protective layer of blue tape to expose the strip of tape that is on the inside facing out and carefully place the center of the strip evenly and level along the inside of the toilet rim. 13. Repeat for the other side. 14. Stage some bleach spray within reach of your toilet. Now suspend the Flexible Swivel Stik down the tube, gather the draw-string on the top garbage bag and seal with Blue Tape, leaving a loose end so that it is easy to remove when the time comes. 15. Now you have completely sealed the toilet from over-spray. The bag will not follow the Swivel Stik down the poop-chute, allowing you to make multiple passes with the water turned on full blast to remove all the crust. It took me about 20 super slow passes. About 20 minutes. Be sure to have enough tank capacity or be hooked up to a permanent sewer with you gate-valves open. Warning: Don't let the toilet valve close down on the Swivel Stik as this could damage your toilet. 16. When finished, free your plastic-garbage-bag-tube from the top of your Swivel Stik first, and push the bag into the toilet. 17. Bomb the Swivel Stik with the spray bleach. 18. Remove your plastic-garbage-bag-tube by sealing it in another plastic garbage bag before putting it in the trash. 19. Congratulations. You cleaned the pipes without flooding your breathing space in an aerosol composed of poop.

Has anyone used the straight or flexible unit on a marine holding tank system?

Marine black tanks are sucked out, not dumped so I'm not sure why this would be needed...
