Madden NFL 07 - Nintendo Wii

I bought this game because basketball isn't as exciting as it used to be and I found myself missing football in the off season. I was expecting the graphics to be a bit better, but this game gets my blood flowing like it's the regular season all over again!I even catch myself being sadly disappointed with Rex Grossman when I throw an interception with him. Just like in real life!I think I read that John Madden's commentary can be repetitive... that's true, but it's not quite as annoying as I thought. The different game modes are fun too. I just wish there was a way to play the Superstar mode only when you're player is playing. I thought I saw it somewhere, but I couldn't find it when I was looking for it.Franchise play would be better too if you could automate all the resigning and negotiating. But then again, you might be able to, there are a lot of poorly organized settings and options.My primary complaint has to actually do with the selection mechanism. For some reason, it randomly moves to another selection without me pointing at it. That doesn't really hurt game play.My secondary complaint is that the instant replay and challenge systems are complete garbage. It would be better if they didn't show you a replay... half the time you see the ball fall through the chest of the receiver or have one foot on the out of bounds line and it doesn't matter.Regardless of the annoyances, this was a good buy. It will hold me back until next season. GO BEARS!

I'm a fan of the game, and the video game too, got my first Madden NFL on Sega, and it was plenty of fun. Now I got the Wii and just had to buy the Madden NFL version. And because I am a fan of the video game I have to be harsh on it. I would give it a 5 star just because, but because I have played alot of other older versions, this one ranks on the top in graphics, and sound, and the extensive types of movements you can do; which brings me to the down fall for this game... Just too many, and poorly organized options. It just get's confusing at times. You can drive the ball for 60 yards and you will be 1st and Goal, and might very well end up 3rd and 27, just because of the sensetivity of the controls. I admit it is not all the fault of the game, but with too many buttons to push, you are bound to hit the wrong one. Confused, well I'm sorry, it's just a fun game to play (because I am a Fan), but just get's to you sometimes. It's a rollercoaster, and with that I just can't give it a 5 star.

If you like sports games, and especially football games, then Madden NFL 2007 is a game you should buy.It is very fun to play on the Wii. The graphics of the players are good, graphics for the coaches/sidelines and fans in the stands leave much to be desired, but they aren't that important.What works well is the play action with the Wii Remote and Nunchuck. You take the snap and thow the pass with your motion sensitive controller. You guide your player with the Nunchuck and use both controllers to catch the ball, or bat it down, or do other football skills. It feels quick, smooth and natural. Complex, but easy to learn and intuitive. Play by yourself, or play with other people on your team, or against them, if they choose their own team. Accomodates up to 4 players at a time.I could wish for a little greater play selection, since the playbook isn't as complex as I'd like, along with a slight improvement in graphics, but overall, I'll say that this is a really fun game to play and well worth the purchase price.

Never trust Amazon their 3point inspection sucks, I bought a renewed CD and they said that it was so called "VERY GOOD" but they're cracks around the edges and and it DOESN'T WORK. Don't buy used and never trust Amazon.

The kids love it. It's fun - brings back the classic madden play compared to today's Madden's more scripted and cinematic based style of gameplay.Though, since it is Wii, there are some unnecessary control choices implemented that could have done without and even make the game a bit tedious to play (such as having to fake throw a ball just to throw the ball in the game).

Looked at a lot of reviews and the majority seemed to point to this version as one of the best. I have played it some and it is decent, though I am not very good yet.

Works fine. Delivered quickly. Always hesitant with used games but everything was excellent! The boys I got it for are pleased and the fact that it is a few years old lets them play with players like Brett Favre, even though he's retired.
