Fisher-Price Octonauts Octopod Playset

The media could not be loaded.  Toddler is a big fan! Octopod is a good size for play with all types of figurines, not just Octonauts characters. Toddler has been getting very creative while playing with it. I wasn’t sure how the pulley system worked at first (threw away directions because assembly was easy), but toddler figured out to use the notches on back to hold up the ropes.

If the bitty person in your life is an Octonauts fan, this is your opportunity to rock their little world. Bought this for my granddaughter who is a little over 2 years old, and who will binge watch the series if allowed. Hours and hours of fun. The push button on the top (that sounds the Octo-alert, and a few other phrases) is a removable clip, which can be clipped to clothing also, if desired. It was convenient for her parents, who removed and hid it after hearing her cycle through phrases to "Sound the Octo-Alert!" for the ten-thousandth time.Would I buy this again? In a heartbeat. That being said, it is not the sturdiest build in the world, and the pods do come off sometimes when she carries it around, but part of the fun to her is disassembling, rearranging, and reassembling, so that was okay, for her. As an adult, we can find that sort of thing annoying, but to her, it was building and repairing like they do on the show.The pods are small in relation to the size of the actual character figures, another thing she could've cared less about.

Grandson loves these. Good buy at $20. Keeps gs occupied happily. He takes it back and forth between his home and mine. Does not include Peso, but figure additions can be made to up enthusiasm when the "new wears off." Arrived home from shopping to see by front door at exact time promised. I fudged and told gs it would be arriving late, so there would be no disappointment. He loves viewing Octonauts, and asked for this repeatedly for more than a year. Would have bought sooner had I known that it would be so endearing. Imaginative and introductory to some educational concepts...I plan to read and incorporate into the conversations that he loves to have as he plays.

For what I paid, I'd give it 5 Stars... However, for the price it is showing currently, I'd only give it 4 Stars. It's fairly well made, and an acceptable size for most kids to play alongside a sibling/friend. As a comparison, it is definitely not as sturdy as the Fisher-Price Imaginext products, which our entire family loves. It does come with quite a few accessories, which is very nice... including 2 characters. I'd say: It's great for a 3-5 year-old, but an older child would not be that impressed. Of course, how many older kids are really into the Octonauts anyway?? ;-) If you have a child that really loves the Octonauts, I'd say they would love it, but if not... it could go either way. ;-)

My son's favorite show is the Octonauts on the Disney channel. Of course for some reason the US has not figured out they could make a lot of money selling these toys, so the only place you can find these cute little figures is overseas. I've bought most of this set from this seller and I have to say I am very impressed with the turn around time. Even though shipping estimates were 1 month or more - I recieved this Octopod overnight. I ordered it on a Saturday and recieved it on Monday! WOW! Some even faster than things I ordered in the US! The price is expensive, but given that the only place you can buy these products is from the UK, I understand. I saw that the price changed a bit on this (as most do on amazon) and watched this product to see if I could get it for the cheapest I could, yes it is still expensive, but when all my son asked for was the Octopod I was willing to pay the high price tag to get this shipped from the US. Toy Crazes is forever in my debt that they carry these toys and offer free shipping to the US.We have almost all of the Octonauts and all my son kept asking for was the Octopod. So we bit the bullet and ordered it without seeing it or touching it. I'm pretty impressed with its durablity. It's not cheap plastic and is not going to fall apart. I'm not in love with the ropes that hang down because they come off a lot - but the clip makes it easy for my 3 year old to put back in. He loves pulling the animals up to the pods and helping them. There is not a ton of space in the pod itself, for more than 1-2 octonauts, and I have trouble standing them up in the Pod, but my son doesn't. He loves sending them down the slides to the Gup-A (which is really small by the way!). The best part is the fact that he can sound the OcoAlert with the button on the top. He loves sending all the Octonauts to the launch bay! We've had this toy for 4 months and it still gets played with every day. Highly recommend if you have an Octonaut lover. It was the perfect way to complete our set!!

I bought this for my 2.5 year old for Christmas. He had only seen the show a couple times but saw this in a toy ad and it was all he talked about getting from Santa. He was SO excited when he opened it and has played with it pretty much nonstop since then. Whenever he watches the show, we now has to act out the episode with his Octonaut toys. I have to admit I like to play with too since I get to use my very well perfected British/ pirate accents. We have has so much fun with this toy and it has held up very well. We also bought all the available Gups and other characters to go with it. Definitely worth the $15 we paid for it. Now to find Dashi, Tweak, and Inkling for a decent price....

My 5 yo asked for this from Santa. I found it for a good price so it was a really cheap way to finish off Christmas for her. My 7 yo loves the show but has no interest in this toy so I would be cautious about buying it for older kids. Overall, its really cute, definitely worth fifteen bucks and my daughter has played with it a lot. I'm looking at buying her one of the gup sets now but one little gup is as much as I paid for the whole octopod, which is frustrating. The toy is well made, easy to put together and the octo-alert was a real hit.

My grandson thinks I’m his hero. What more does a gramma need I ask??

we gifted Octopod to our 5 year old son. He is true fan of octonauts, cartoon series on Disney Junior. He worked really hard to earn this and earned 20 points in 6 months to get this on his birthday. It was treat to watch him get his favorite toy and on the more treat to see him playing with this. He makes wonderful stories with his favorite characters Kwazi and Captain Barnecles... 😊
