Is this product gluten free?

Yes, it's gluten free, non GMO, nut & peanutfree, vegan, sugar free, aspartame free, soy free, 100% Xylitol, and Swiss made.

Where do the 5 calories per piece come from? It's sugar free, and you don't swallow it.

The calories come from the glycerol, which has slightly more calories than sugar. When you chew gum, you ARE swallowing and even though you don't swallow the gum base itself, you do swallow other components in the gum which get mixed with your saliva. Glycerol attracts water in the intestines, which can help relieve or prevent constipation.

Anyone else get really bad gas from the xylitol?

I have gotten gas AND diahrea from Xilitol, but NEVER from Pur Gum. I love the taste of the gum & chew from 3-6 pieces at a time with NO negative side-effects!!!

Good and Bad

I like that xylitol can help prevent cavities and I worked for a dentist and he agreed. Too much can give some oeople an upset stomach but you would have to eat 40 pieces a say. I don't like that the flavor doesn't last that long.G

I can find this at TJ maxx sometimes but about $5 ea package. Good deal for these.

Great for dry mouth

This was recommended to me by my oral hygienist for my dry mouth and it works wonders. I have both flavors of the gum and I have the mints.
