Easy install
During Thanksgiving I decided to purchase a new IMac. The only one left with the 27 inch screen was a base model with 8gb ram. As I was using it I noticed the spinning beach ball a few times. Now I'm not a serious programmer that needs a supercomputer to satisfy me, but I tend to have many applications open at one time(photos, I tunes, multiple web pages, and a few apps). This is where ram is probably the most useful. 99% of the time you will never need more than the factory 8gb, but for less than 5 minutes and $100 you can make your machine run a little smoother and a little quicker. Possibly future proof your computer as well being it could last for up to 10 years. I figured I would keep the two 4gb Apple ram chips and just add the Crucial 16gb kit. This is where things got interesting. I read ten different ways that people recommend doing this. I won't rehash all the ten pages of forum discussion just tell you what I did. I placed the new Crucial chips in slots 2 and 4 where the Apple chips were and moved the Apple chips to slots 1 and3. This showed 8-8-4-4 when I rebooted the computer for a total of 24gb. My logic was that the computer would be drawing from the first bank of 16gb before drawing from the Apple 8gb. Either way it works great and took no time or tools to do. If you get the beach ball this is a great upgrade. This will only work with the 27 inch screen and get the right speed for your iMac. Mine was a late 2015 model.

This Crucial RAM is perfect match for 5k iMac
Crucial is one of the best quality OEM-grade memory suppliers. I used this RAM to upgrade my iMac (5k 27 inch' late 2015 model) from 8 GB to 32 GB. This RAM is precisely matched to Apple's specs. It installs easily in this model and the Mac recognized it immediately. No issues whatsoever. My iMac is now a true powerhouse that can handle pretty much everything with zero slowdown. Great product. And Amazon's price was the best (I did a lot of searching across multiple online and retail vendors before making this purchase.). Highly recommend.

Works w/Synology DS418play
Just like I said, it works perfectly with my DS418play. It took a couple of minutes to install into the NAS. I removed the drives, removed two phillips screws and slid off the cover. The empty RAM slot is readily apparent once the cover is removed. I simply plugged in the RAM until it snapped in place, then reassembled the cover and the drives. I powered up the NAS and the RAM was immediately recognized. Easy-peasy. This RAM was nearly less than half the cost of the 'official' Synology RAM that Amazon sells too.

Works ok, but if your iMac goes on crashing, check the memory modules.
I bought this to work with a late 2015 iMac 27" Retina, and one of the modules was defective. My GPU started to crash all the time, and the modules where the issue. After an extensive and tiresome trial and error, which the iMac crash all over the place, I finally found the module which was bad and requested a return. On that matter, Crucial's customer service was stellar. They were helpful, prompt and ready to help. Sent me a new module without trouble and now I'm back to work with 32GB.Only reason why I'm not giving it 5 stars is because after almost a month of no issues, yesterday I had another crash, so I'm a bit skeptical there might be another module which is not perfect. Time will tell.

Mac certified RAM, reliable, and at a great price from a company with a good reputation
I really don't have much to say, other then I bought two of these kits for my new 27" late 2015 iMac to get a total of 32 GB, and the computer has been rock solid. When I bought this ram it was selling for $109 a kit, and it was too good a deal to pass up to get. a full 32 GB of ram.The memory is extremely easy yo install on the iMac.1. shut down the iMac from the apple menu.2. disconnect all cables.3. lay the iMac face down on a soft and stable surface such as a bed, or other such as a table with a towel over it.4. Use a pointed object such as a pen, to gently , but firmly push the button located inside the power terminal to release the memory door.5 Remove memory door and release the memory cartilage levers.6. insert new modules making sure to line up the notch on the DIMM with the slot and press into place until it clicks.7. lock the memory carriage back into place with the tabs, and replace ram door.8. Reconnect iMac and power one. Don't be alarmed if the Mac takes a few seconds before the chime, as this is normal to test and calculate the new ram, the first time.

Listed specs can cause confusion, but this is exactly what you need for Late 2015 27-inch iMac
I picked up 2 of these x2 kits for my Late 2015 27-inch iMac. I'm happy to report (and confirm for potential iMac buyers) that they work flawlessly. Installation is a breeze, and several guides can be found by doing a quick Google/YouTube/etc. search. The biggest tip I can give is to make sure you avoid static when installing. My iMac properly recognizes these chips, and the specs are exactly what you need. Some of the specs listed don't appear to match up (e.g. 1866 vs. 1867 MT/s) but I can confirm, both from experience and from chatting with Crucial support, that this kit is exactly what you need if you want to upgrade your Late 2015 iMac to either 16GB or 32GB of RAM.

Perfect Upgrade for iMac
Perfect upgrade fir my late 2015 17"iMac. Having purchased memory directly from crucial in the past I was confident that this would be a quality product. Super easy to install on an iMac, no errors or problems after booting. I run my machine 12-15 hours a day and after 2 months of use I have not had any memory related issues at all. I will be ordering another set to make for a full 32GB upgrade.

Works perfectly with iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015) iMac17,1
As Crucial seller said, this RAM is compatible with the iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015) iMac17,1. And there is a big difference in price between this and the recommended memory on the Crucial site. I just snapped these into the two empty slots (from top to bottom, 4GB, 8GB, 4GB, 8GB) and was done. With 24GB RAM the Mac is running much, much faster. No more delays waking from sleep. Web pages open almost instantly. Everything is snappy and working the way it should have been when I brought it home new from the Apple store.
