TUSASport Snorkeling Vest

Used on a recent trip to Hawaii. Comfortable and worked well although the vest has a slight tendency to ride up even with the included crotch strap.

My wife is not a confident swimmer. This vest helped to boost her confidence during our trip to Caribbean.Worked as expected, no problems. The valve is well designed.It has a crotch strap that is useful in preventing the vest from "going up" .

It did its job but it would ride up and push up the snorkeling mask.

This suited our needs for first time snorkeling 7 year old kids. We took two vests to the West Indies. Easy to inflate, put on, did not ride up, dried out quickly for the plane ride back. Were a bright color for people to see the kids in the water, and for pictures from land.

We bought this for our 10-year-old son for his first snorkeling trip on Maui. He's a mediocre swimmer in a pool, and we hoped the vest would improve his confidence and let him keep up with my spouse and me (who are hardcore snorkelers). On his first outing, he snorkeled without the vest about 50-100 yards out from the beach for a half hour. He did fine but felt nervous, especially when the surf picked up. With the vest (inflated about 30%), he was more confident and comfortable. It allows him to get his head higher above the water with less effort when treading. This makes it easier to clear water from the snorkel and mask. He was able to stay afloat for about 90 minutes in the reefs around Polo Beach, and swam in excess of a half mile, including some pretty choppy waters. The other advantage of the vest is making him very visible if he got separated from us.Regarding size: the vest will probably fit a pretty wide age range. Our son is small and thin for his age (about 50" and 50 lbs) and the vest fits fine. As a wild guess, I'd say heights of 3-5' would be fine with it.There aren't a lot of downsides, other than the ridiculous price for such a basic design. The air rarely will distribute unevenly, making it hard to stay prone. The straps are overly long for a shorter child, but can be cut to size.

Took this Aruba and Puerto Rico. Worked out well for someone who can't swim and refuses to learn and suffers from panic attacks. The person weighs about 105lbs. So it would work for someone who weighed less too.

We’re all college-educated, semi-intelligent human beings in our family, and no one can figure out how to deflated this vest. There’s no instructions, no YouTube video, no illustrations, nothing. So I’m currently in Kona trying to figure out how to get theses fully inflated vests home in my suitcase. Don’t bother with this junk.
