LifeProof FRĒ Series Waterproof Case for Samsung Galaxy S7 - Retail Packaging - Sunset (Pipeline Wind SURF/Lime)

I have had life proof for several of my phones I lived the case I had for my s5 clear back with color sides. couldn't find that for my 7 so I saw this one on sale and said sure I can do this color for now.1 I assumed the back would be clear as well... wrong its solid but2 when I pulled it out I didn't even think I got a life proof because it felt to light but in a cheap way.3. the color was worse upfront I didn't feel like I could drop the phone because it was just such hard toyish feeling plastic. not at all like ANY of the other cases by life proof that I have had before or even debated.I LIKE LIFE PROOF I even have one for my s9 now but this case sux like MAD WACK. the end.

While this case did okay at the start, it fell apart after less than a year. I drop my phone a lot, which is why I bought this case (along with the fact that I wanted to protect it from the humidity and sudden rainstorms that come from living in the Pacific Islands), and it has protected my phone from having a cracked screen or otherwise breaking. However, the case itself has quickly fallen apart. The latch over the charging port is completely broken as a small part of the plastic that latched it shut appears to have been worn or broken, and the rubber portion around the front of the case has begun to peel off in huge chunks. Worst of all, the power button somehow managed to detach itself, so I have to shove my fingernail into the hole it's left behind in order to turn the phone on and off. Ultimately defeats the purpose of it being waterproof.

I really like the LifeProof Case for my Samsung 7. I have owned 4 of these cases. This is an expensive case for any phone. What sold me on this case, my first case, I dropped the phone down 20 cement steps, the phone hit every step, I stood there and watched as it tumbled down the steps. I stood with my mouth open, my friend that I was taking a walk with went down the stairs and bought the phone back to me, I expected it to be destroyed. The case had a few scratches, other than that everything was fine, my phone was safe and in perfect condition. This is my second LifeProof case for my Samsung 7, the first one BROKE, and it was after the year warranty. The latch that opens to charge the phone, the little lip that the latch connects to broke off. That sucked. How does a LifeProof case not last a lifetime. This case was cheaper in price probably because of the color, that is what I like the least, I needed a new case and needed one fast. and I know that sooner or later I will get a new phone, this case will not fit my new phone, it never does. You should never walk around with your cell phone not protected by a case. LifeProof is a great case, but an EXPENSIVE case.

This case wasn't damaged like I've had previousones be. It is a nice case. I have found a way to keep the bottom clasp from breaking. If you push on the back of the charge clasp it will give it enough room to gently unlatfh without breaking the thin clasp that holds it shut.

This is my second day with this case and I like it so far. I had a clear Speck case with the Zagg glass protector and that duo was terrible. The Zagg protector cracked and didn't stick to the screen properly at all. And the Speck case was nice but started to crack as well. So, all that said, this case feels nice in your hand, doesn't feel bulky, and protects the screen without the horrible addition of the Zagg protector.

Okay...but the screen makes up easy and also is very tough to text with. It doesn't touch the screen closely enough. However a phone drop in the ocean and several other parking lot drops and the phone itself is just fine. Things like pop sockets will NOT stick to it as they say they will. Trust me.

I have had several cases for several different types of phones. Other than some minor defects they are the best case you can buy to protect your phone. I've tried others, they do not stand up to the punishment these cases do. They have absolutely the best customer service I have ever dealt with on any product. I called them with the latch defect on a S7 case. They didn't ask any questions. They got my address shipped it for free and had a wonderful conversation with the lady. Their customer support is in house based in Colorado. That is a major plus to me. Go USA

Little piece at the bottom where the cover to the charging port goes, broke off. Pretty much rendering it useless. Dirt/dust gets between the screen protector and the glass. Won't be buying it again. I heard LifeProof was amazing. So far, NOT VERY IMPRESSED with the shoddy workmanship.
