I recently had to change the water pump and thermostat in my 1983 Mustang GT that I purchased last year. Couldn’t justify snap on carbon scrapers at home but for the $ couldn’t beat this deal, shipping took a little while but that’s ok.

Great gasket scraper set, love having multiple sizes to choose from. Had to scrape 17 year old gasket material off of my 8.1L big block, and these took it right off with no issue and no galling of the mating surface on the engine. Follow up with some scotch brite and your surface will be good as new.

Kind of a strange product.It isn't really sharp or edgy enough to be a gasket remover, and not exactly strong enough to be a pry bar... It's more like a very stiff general scraper... Might be good for a boat, etc.It rusts incredibly quickly. Not sure how to place what they had in mind. It's almost as if it's for something else, and they had a bunch of them, so decided to market them for this purpose to get rid of them.I used it to harvest oysters. Worked pretty well as a one use item, but the very next day it was rusted to a quite impressive degree.

I really like this set. The scrapers are heavy in weight, not some flimsy metal.The handles are nice and ergonomic, and fit in your hand well.
