The Island of Dr. Libris

I've only read the reviews of the book but I believe it will inspire my young, very young, friend to grow his passion for writing.

I used this as a read-aloud summer book for my kids (ages 9 & 7). It held their interest (mine too) and had suspense without being too frightening or too predictable. It's a 4.3 reading level and worth 5 AR (accelerated reader) points which is a fair assessment of the vocabulary and yet worthy of 5 points because of the plot having multiple characters.

Product rating: 4 starsI did enjoy this book (The end was a little sappy), I really did. It is extremely fun, creative and suspenseful. It was a bit disappointing that Dr. Libris was such a jerk. The rest I really liked. I would recommend this to kids 8-12, but I think anyone would like it. I do prefer one of Chris Grabenstein's other books, ''Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library'' and it's sequel a little bit better, though both are great reads.Shipping/Handling rating: 5 starsNo complaints whatsoever! came fast an product was in great condition.

I have had so much fun reading Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library to 4th and 5th grade classes that I knew I had to read this book. I was not disappointed. I can't wait to introduce next year's class to this new adventure. Billy is such a creative yet believable character, I'm sure he will be loved by them all. The clever way that Grabenstein weaves in snippets of classic books again will surely stimulate great reading and writing. Thanks, Mr. Grabenstein.

This book was mezmorizing! My 8 year old daughter could not put this down. She absolulty loved it. The characters were well developed as was the plot. Wonderful imagery and very creative. A definite must read.

My wife liked the authors other books so I bought these for her. Yes they are for younger kids but the wife is a substitute teacher and she reads what the kids read. I personally haven't read these but on behalf of my wife's input and opinion she gives five stars.

I loved this book.I am eight and my mum told me to write this review. I got this book yesterday and I've already read it 3 times because It is a fantastic book!!

Not part of the Lemoncello Library series, but still brilliant.

Again my Grandson loves this author!
