Do NOT thaw before cooking. This is because it takes roughly 2 - 2 1/2 hours to cook a frozen 10lb cone, and if it is thawed, it will reach above 40 degrees throughout the cone before you cook it all the way through. Thus growing bacteria and making people sick. The time to cook varies based on what vertical broiler you are using + room temps and air flow. It is suggested to not take over 3 hours to cook a 10lb cone.

Q: Can I cook this in my electric smoker?

Yes, just be sure to use a Drip Pan underneath to catch the grease, or the electric burner may ignite the grease and start a fire.
