A second try and I'm glad I did
I sit all day for work but like to be active in the evenings and weekends, usually in the garden and general housework. Lots of bending reaching, squatting, pulling... now that I've reached 40, I apparently can't just go from the work chair to the shovel without some body part disagreeing. I did something to my "low back" one day which was the most painful thing ever. Was out of commission for 2 days after that. I tried the compression type lumbar braces which helped/stabilized a little, but I still was afraid/felt that I'd reinjure myself if I twisted the wrong way. Most of my pain localized to my bony left SI joint. I originally bought a Sacroloc and returned it because it was a bit too small and generally uncomfortable... and gave me a horrifying muffin top (and at 5'6"/125lbs I consider myself relatively thin). I was not sure that it was the right brace for my problems. I carried on with a compression type lumbar brace and finally healed up a bit.Later on I decided to give this another try in the next larger size (although it is a bit too big but manageable) and am glad I stuck with it. I am able to work all day in the garden doing all the things I usually do and actually feel normal doing it. This brace really does stabilize my SI joints while I am moving. It is worn very low and so does not work well for me while sitting as it rides up and gets out of place.I like that the belt is solid. I have tried braces with exposed strings and they just dig into your flesh.I am pretty darn ecstatic that I was able to get out and clean up my yard and pond over the last few days and have everything else hurt the day after but not my back/SI joints. My only complaint is that the glue holding together one of the loops that you are supposed to put your hand into to apply the brace came apart on my second try. It doesn't affect the function of the brace so I didn't bother returning it.

It definitely relieves my pain.
I've had nasty back problems most of my adult life. Three surgeries resulting in 3 fusions and a disk replacement. Now, as a result of the fusions, my SI joints have gotten arthritic. I absolutely will not have more surgery but the pain has been at times excruciating. I'm getting injections and various treatments but still, much pain. I looked at many of these belts here on Amazon and read hundreds of reviews of the various ones. This belt to me looked to be the most substantial and one of the reviewers noted that (and I'm paraphrasing) when you want precision engineering you go to Germany not China. I agree, so while this is the most expensive belt I saw here, I didn't want something from China that I'd end up returning or throwing away. I wanted something that would really help. I'm more or less ok buying a set of kitchen tongs from China, but not this.I'm very pleased so far. It is heavy duty belt and it gives me substantial relief. It takes a bit to get it properly situated for the best spot, but when I did...ahhhhhh. It gives me a feeling of stability and definitely relieves pain. I can only speak for myself, but I'm glad I went with this belt. I ordered the size according to my lower hip measurements and it is the right size for me. If you have serious pain, you want serious relief and this belt is the ticket.

Not for the Rouned Derriere
My two stars may not be an accurate review for everyone. The product is heavy duty and provides lots of support. However, I have a rounded butt (think Jennifer Lopez), and I found that when sitting or bending, my fanny pushed the device right up toward my waist so that I was constantly adjusting it. Had to return it. For those with a flatter derriere, it may be just fine.

Give it a try, you will be pleasantly surprised !
First one I ordered was too small [size #1] ht. = 4'11in, wt. 115#. Ordered # 3, fit is really good. Be sure to measure just exactly as instructed ! Pain was somewhat relieved just after two days of wearing and has decreased with extended wear. I have suffered with osteoarthritis and degenerative disease of the spine for approx. 10 yrs. This is the best support that I have ever used. Also, you may have to wear for short periods of time for a few day then extended the wear time gradually; there is a little soreness at first.

PREMIUM BACK BRACE-WELL WORTH THE PRICE
This is an incredible back brace. It fits well and does NOT crinkle in the front or ride up and down when I sit or walk. It is made in Germany where you know products made there are five star quality. All previous back braces I have purchased in the past were made in Asia which produces cheaply made junk. This brace is pricey but to me it's worth every penny. I bought a size higher so I can wrap it around over my clothes instead of under my clothes. I STRONGLY recommend it.

I had such high hopes, especially since it was so expensive and high tech. But the Velcro area is so small that there isn't much to keep this on. Unfortunately I had to return it because it kept popping off. No issues getting a refund. Major flaw, sine the whole idea is that it's supposed to be on tight to provide support.

perhaps if I had gone a size up it would have fit better.
I think these run a bit small, so mine is a tight fit. I can't tell if it's helping with my SI issues or not, as I find it rather uncomfortable to wear. If you have any extra weight, it will "muffin top" your belly and make your silhouette look odd. I wouldn't wear it out of the house for that reason, but I was in between sizes and went with the size down, perhaps if I had gone a size up it would have fit better.

AAAAAHHHH! ☺️
I used the Serola hip belt for years while riding dressage horses. It was OK, but this Bauerfeind SacroLoc is the best. I am shaped like the photo above, so it fit perfectly and what a relief! What you wear under it makes a difference in fit and function. I tried several kinds of panties before I found one that felt good and didn't make the brace slip. I don't like wearing it next to my skin because I live in Florida and I sweat. This brace gives me that AAAAHHHHH of relief. I have injured my pelvis/sacral joints 6 times and been through PT rehab 6 times. I highly recommend this brace as the best I have used and I am 70. I have size 2 (39") and it fits perfectly. The size 3 was way too big and I couldn't cinch it down small enough. My pelvis feels stable and pain free for the first time in decades.
