I bought this product on the Black Friday sale. It was a total impulse buy, as I had some money on a gift card and the reviews were really good. I love this straightener! I have naturally thick, slightly coarse/dry, curly/wavy hair that is almost mid-back. I have been using a cheap straightening iron that just takes forever and does an Ok job. Here are the things I love about this product:1. It is easy and quick and takes so little time (compared to the more traditional straightener I own)2. It doesn't burn me! It does get somewhat warm/hot, but it really doesn't burn like my other straightener.3. You can use this to get some curl as well as straighten it-- my hair has some layers, so I get this great effect with a little body/curl at the end of each layer and the rest is straight.4. My hair is naturally coarse and dry, and it can get really frizzy. It never looks smooth, in other words. With no product on my hair whatsoever, this straightener makes my hair smooth and shiny!5. In the last 2 weeks, I've gotten 5 compliments on my hair from random people- some I know, some I don't! I absolutely love the way my hair looks after I use this.If I have to list some things I don't like about this straightener, I'd say that I have to hold my hair while using it (you can't just "comb" it down your hair, you need to hold your hair out so you can come through it) and although the straightener doesn't get too hot, my hair sure does! I also wish the back were flatter so I could lay it on its back while it's heating up.All in all, this was a great purchase! I've had it now for about 3 weeks, and I really hope it's durable and continues to work this well. My hair hasn't looked this good maybe EVER!

Not bad. In fact, it works best for the cowlick-type of hair framing my face, which doesn't straighten well at all with either blow dryer or flat iron. So I've been using it for that only and just curling it all afterwards; I don't like the super-straight look anyway. But his could definitely work as a flat iron too. I was really pleased at how long the straightening of the hair around my face lasted.Its pretty, and looks more expensive than it was. The button locations take some getting used to, but I have an expensive wand curling iron that has a similar issue. I agree with another review that the cord could be a little longer. I think this is a good value so far.

WOW this straightener works a lot better than I expected. I have thick, curly/wavy hair, and this thing straightened it in record time. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the end product still looks like it needs to be touched up. The ends are not as straight as I would be able to achieve with a flat iron, but this does the trick in a pinch. And, it's much quicker than my flat iron. The other con is that it makes my hair pretty flat - I expected this as that's the effect I get when I use a regular brush (my hair is pretty volumous on it's own) - and I'd be interested to see if there's a difference once I blow dry my hair then straighten (today I tested this out on mid-day, air-dried hair). Pretty good product, would recommend.

This straightener doesn’t work very well. You have to hold the bottom of your hair tightly when you comb this through your hair in order to have enough heat contact with your hair to straighten it. This causes a lot of pulling on the hair. Also causes a lot of static in hair. I had a few friends try it too to see if it would work on different hair types and they had same results. My CHI straightener works much better.

Thank goodness I didn't fall sucker to paying full price for this item. This was a Daily Deal and I snagged it, admittedly sucked in by what they listed as the regular retail. This item is not worth more than the $22 I paid for it at all. It works ok, but I don't find it any better than my flat iron. The picture they use in their advertising shows silky-smooth, shiny hair - do not expect to get that with this item. Would perhaps be a good starter item for a young girl just learning how to do their own hair.

I bought this product on a whim. Basically, my hair is naturally wavy, so most days I straighten it or else it will be a little unruly for work. I typically just use a straight-up straightener (no pun intended), but felt like it was frying my hair a bit. So, I ran across this product and decided to give it a go since it is an item I would use almost every day.I'm impressed with this product thus far (I've been using it for about a week).The pros:- Fast (I'm not a morning person, so anything to speed up that process is welcome)- Sleek and stylish design (it just looks cool)- Efficient and does the job it is advertised to do- You don't have to use styling product (It's advertised that the build of this product protects the hair, so you can pitch your gels/goos)The con (and this isn't much of a con):- You can't just 'brush' your hair, you do need to hold the hair out straight and comb it through. This doesn't really bother me, but I guess it could bother some people.Overall, great buy!

Once you get used to how to use it, from inside or over long hair, it is literally magic. It straightens hair in seconds, and with temperature settings its easy to use, and very portable.The downside is, if your hair is wet, you can hear it crackle, and so make sure to use a pre-straightening serum - lots of it! Since this is literally ironing your hair, it does tend to dry hair out a lot, and hair can get tangled in it if dry.However, beats the time for a blowdry!

It does straighten hair. How ever it doesn’t quite give the sleek look a straightener would. For me with naturally curly hair it doesn’t last long enough. My mother who has thin shorter hair has been using it and loves it. I also had my daughter Start out on this when she became interested in styling her hair. It never burns you or scalp.
