Excellent mouse
I bought this mouse as a replacement for my Notebook mouse 3000 which died after serving me for 2 years. It wasn't great in the beginning. Mouse buttons were hard to press and after a couple of months, the left mouse button started making a strange noise when pressed. At this point I contacted Microsoft support and told them about the problem. They sent me a replacement mouse in 2 weeks. After the new mouse arrived, I realized the problem of the mouse buttons being hard to press was also because the earlier one was a defective piece. I am now extremely happy with the new mouse. The precision is great, much better than 3000. On the whole, its a great mouse if your piece isn't defective!

Very poor quality, stopped working after three days
This product was reasonably easy to install (both devices, it comes with a "free" wireless keyboard). Both mouse and keyboard are very comfortable, although keyboard letters require young eyes and good lighting.Mouse stopped responding properly at day three, we had to click three to five times to initiate computer responce.Keyboard followed two days later.I connected my old wired Dell keyboard and mouse but I had to manually uninstall both devices from within Control pannel because my computer kept looking for those more advanced devices.Company promissed a replacement but never shipped one.Shipping damaged goods back with provided RMA (works for 14 days only)costs almost as much as I payed for it.Putting em in a trash was an easier option.

Laser Mouse 6000
This is a small but not Minnie Mouse. Works very well, Linux picks it up (USB) and it works great. Windows requires drivers (provided) to use all of the features. The magnifier is one of the most useful features. Convenient for travelling. I bought another one so I can have a home and an office mouse that are identical.

SHORT-LIVED NAVIGATING
Was in need of a new mouse and after using the basic corded where the cord would be in the way, I thought I'd try a cordless with a reputable name. Was great to program as far as the set up, had good option functions, was smooth for navigating, but over time say a couple of weeks later, the thing would EAT through batteries, the scroll wheel became sticky and the clicks were unresponsive. Was good but not for long...only 2 months ?...sorry Microsoft.

Nice inexpensive mouse, not for gaming.
Overall rating: good. Shipped very quick. No complaints.PRO'S: Very good working mouse, excellent connectivity, works great simply by plugging into a Windows 7 pc, RECOMMENDED for a pc or mac user for ANY purpose OTHER than gaming.CON'S: This is NOT a mouse for gaming! The middle button rolls too smooth and when you scroll through any inventory it is very difficult to select your intended item.

Great product ... but ...
I've owned one of these for over a year. It is sensitive and it fits the hand really well, for a notebook mouse. Also, the IR laser beam (invisible), to me, is less annoying than the red flashing beams of the alternate technology devices. The software that comes with this mouse, with the instant magnification feature, is beyond wonderful for these older eyes. Can't see some small type on the screen? Click. It instantly blows up to size huge. Click. It's right back to normal. I love this thing. However, my first copy of this mouse's scroll wheel disintegrated at just about 1 year age and the mouse was trash. I have a new one and it is getting 8 hours of hard use per day. We'll see what happens. (By the way, I've used the various Microsoft and Logitech scroll wheel mice since they first came out and no other model has ever come apart.)UPDATE:About September of 08, the second one of these started to lose its scroll wheel. But, before it could deteriorate to the point of full failure, the USB dongle went on the fritz. No saving it. I give up. I switched back to Logitech, even though this Microsoft one is a superior device, when it works.

Comfortable, convenient--a bargain
This is an excellent accessory for my laptop--not too big, not too small, but just right! The usb dongle is a bit of a distraction, but the reliability compared to the Bluetooth rodent makes it easy to forgive and forget. The magnification button is icing on this little cupcake.

Great mouse
This was my 6th mouse of this type I have purchsed for 4 different computers. It has oulived some computers and is a very nice size fitting in the palm of the hand as it is a laptop mouse. This ;last purchase is to replace one destroyed by grand kids by them losing the battery cover and usb device.
