KERASTASE, Elixir K Ultime Sublime Cleansing Oil Shampoo for Unisex, 8.5 Fl Oz

I bought this based upon reviews and it is truly a lovely product. I have peri-menopausal hair. So, it is dryer, not as shiny or as thick as it used to be. After many colorings...the ends have become frizzy. Upon for using, the smell is pleasant, it foams up a but but not as much as you might be used to. It really does clean all impurities and does not leave the hair stripped. Several reviewers claimed that there was no need for an accompanying conditioner. I have found this to be incorrect. With no conditioner, my hair was still dry and frizzy. I submitted a question to the seller and they explained that you do indeed need a conditioner..so I purchased the accompanying Elixer conditioner. This has proven to be a magical combination. One other observation...I often get small bumps on my scalp from certain shampoos/conditioners (not sexy). I've had none of that with this product. My hair is bouncy, clean and the my color looks enriched because of the shine it gives. I will say that I don't use this every day but this has been especially useful during the dry Winter months. Give it a try!

I'm a big fan of Kerastase, and so I really wanted to love this product. I was pretty excited to find it, and thought that a "cleansing oil shampoo" might be something like Wen or other cleaning conditioners, but with all the charm and wonder of the Kerastase Elixir oil that does wonders for my hair. I even saw a few reviews comparing it to other "no-poo" (no poo = no shampoo) products, and thought it would be perfect for that purpose.I expected this product to clean my hair while giving it all the conditioning and moisturizing benefits of the Elixir Ultime oil, but I was wrong; this shampoo is, in fact, a shampoo. It's probably pretty good, but you're still going to need to put something in your hair, probably, to add moisture back to it after using this product. Since that's not what I was looking for, I'm not going to repurchase this product.Bottom line, if you're looking for a good shampoo and thinking about buying this, this is a good choice. If you're looking for something that's less "shampoo" and more "cleansing conditioner" or something, this isn't for you.Mostly my bad, but just so you'd know. I guess the "cleansing oil" name is pretty confusing.

I use this as my everyday shampoo and it is very gentle but does a great job. I'm allergic to almost all shampoos out there and am always wanting to try a new one. This one is actually ok on my scalp. My hair is very damaged because of all the chemicals for coloring I put onto it. This product definitely helps but it is still damaged. It's much smoother and takes less work with my irons. And even though expensive, it goes a long way. You really do only need a quarter size and my hair is to my shoulders.

I had been waiting to try a Kerastase product for a long time. When I finally splurged I guess I was expecting something with a little more of a wow factor. I preferred going back to my regular shampoos and probably will not order again. Not bad shampoo just not as good as the price would suggest. There was not that much smell and what I did smell was nothing special. Still delivered on time, no leaks or anything.

Perfect shine hairs

I like this product but it did not wow me as i had thought it would. I switched from davines lovely smooth shampoo hoping this would at least be on the same level and it is not. My hair bwcomes very flat and looks like i have not washed it. When i blow dry it, it is still very flat and the next day very dry. The smell is very strong. I jusr dont think it is worth the money. BUUTT the comoany who shipped it did so very fast and came a week ahead of scheduled. So thats always great!

Amazing shampoo especially for dry hair. Does build up over time in the hair so be sure to use s clarifying shampoo once a week or hair starts to look greasy and weighed down after a period of time. Kinda wish they had more variety of fragrances though.

I was anticipating a low sudsing heavy oil, but it's not. It is a rich, beautiful smelling shampoo that cleanses the hair and leaves it feeling silky. I follow this with a Kerastase conditioner or masque and my hair is in excellent condition. Since I have been using Kerastase products, my hair has never felt or looked better. It's expensive, but worth it.

At first I thought this shampoo was a great deal. However, about a month after I started using it, my scalp became hugely irritated, and my hairdresser commented on how dry my hair was, and how there were inflamed patches on my skin. After two washes with a different shampoo, my head is nearly back to normal. I am pretty sure that this cannot be the genuine product, or - if it is - it must be very old and past its best. I don't recommend it at all.

It's an okay shampoo, but I haven't really noticed any additional softness. Given the relatively high price I don't think it offers value for money, it isn't anything special at all. I wouldn't recommend this, although I rate some other kerastase products very highly.

Excellent, makes my hair shining and the gray hair smooth, bit like I have highlighted my hair - very pleased.. use other product before blow drying with it.

Lovely shampoo. I have tried many shampoos but always return to Kerastase. Their shampoos are excellent and this one made my hair shine like silk. Very expensive but worth it.

I baught this product because a friend told me about it and it's over my expectations.It's for all types of hear and the smell is ever lasting.
