OtterBox ALPHA GLASS SERIES Screen Protector for Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge - Retail Packaging - CLEAR

I tried a few of these tempered glass "rounded corner made just for S7 Edge" screen protectors..And none stuck well to the edge, the edge would catch dust, no cases would fit with them, etc. Get the wet install type protectors and call it a day. For real, don't waste your money on these kinds.

I have had this screen protector on my phone for three weeks and this morning I noticed that it has two large cracks in it. These were not there yesterday and I did NOT drop it in my sleep. (My phone charges on one of the flat docks and was laying there flat and 100% charged when I woke.) Yes, I will fully acknowledge that i drop my phone. That is why I purchased this screen protector and the Otterbox case that has been on since the day I bought my phone. I have been using Otterbox Defender cases for almost 10 years and have always been thrilled. The only one for my Galaxy s7 Edge is plain black, so I went with a different model and a screen protector so I could have a little color. The case I bought from the AT&T store is still fine. The screen protector I purchased here is worthless. Needless to say, I am very disappointed.

I have tried a few but this is the best! I am very very hard on phones. I drop them alot due to a disability I also carry it around my neck for easy access, this means it hits counter tops doors, most everything and also have military grade case. This does crack eventually with heavy usage for me anyway however, with normal wear and tear I'm quite sure it will last for you. . Otter box is the best. Hard to find since Samsung came out with the 8 version. It saves me money by far using otterbox. Honestly this is my 3rd one In a year.... but like I said it's not normal wear and tear. If I don't have the cover I couldn't afford a phone....i would be breaking it too much.

The glass does not fit well to the phone's screen face. After installation there is a gap between the Alpha glass and the phone glass which interferes with the touch screen performance. Reinstalled the Alpha glass multiple times making sure to glean the phone's screen, aligning it carefully and applying pressure to the adhesive areas at the top and bottom of the Alpha glass. Researched the problem and saw postings where other people have a similar problem. Wish someone would provide a fix because my original Alpha glass fit perfectly and saved my phone's screen when I dropped it.

Got the Otterbox Alpha Glass without looking at the reviews. Had the same problem as many others with edge phones like galaxy s7 edge. Loss of all sensitivity due to fact there’s only adhesive around the edge. Doesn’t make good contact throughout the rest of the screen cover as sits too high. Called company and got run around. Had no advice except pay for shipping and handling and they’ll send another probably with same problem and defeats the purpose of being a prime customer. This is a manufacturing problem and a poor design. I’ve purchased other glass shields from other companies with thinner glass for this phone that worked great. Not impressed with customer service for this company. All talk, no answers.

The screen protector didn't last one week and it cracked, and the touch screen was HORRIBLE. I had to touch so hard to type or send a text "I am not sure why they even sale these screen protector" . I think after today I will never believe those reviews on youtube, I would read all the reviews on Amazon and see ppl comments.MY ADVICE TO never buy this type of screen..

Not worth the money, dust gets under it within hours of just taking out of pocket or sitting. The dust under screen scratched my display leaving a few deep gashes.

The box description states it is for Galaxy S7 edge but the item I received does NOT fit my phone,leaves a gap between phone and screencover that makes texting impossible ,also protective film #2 missing...all in all a pity !

Having used Otterbox cases for years and knowing they are great, I took the leap in buying this quite expensive "toughened" glass screen protector. Previously, I have used the plastic films, which after several months start to peel away from the corners of the phone.On receiving the protector, which arrived promptly as promised, I went about adhering to my phone which in itself was a very easy process.Immediately however I noticed something that had been mentioned before on reviews and that the touch sensitivity of my device was drastically affected. Sometimes I would really have to jab hard and several times at the screen to get a response from it. This was annoying, but I figured if it kept my screen A++, then for the resale value of the phone when I do eventually upgrade, it would be worth the inconvenience. However, several weeks later, I am finding this much more annoying, answering calls doesn't register and I then miss the call, typing texts and often failing to register a letter tap and end up with spellcheck giving me a completely different word!Worse to come still however.... Given that it was Otterbox, I really did at least feel the protector should be up to some abuse... however, I have NOT dropped my phone, I have NOT purposefully tried to 'test' how good the protector is, I have simply used my phone day to day. What really shocked me is that after pulling out my phone from my pocket a few days ago now, I saw a big crack running through the protector glass near the bottom of the phone. Again, no abuse, no dropping the phone, it has just been in my pocket with some spare change.Further pocket damage occurred last night, when I then saw the corner of the glass had been broken as if the corner had been struck. Again, knowing that I have not knocked my phone and that the damage could only have occurred in my pocket, it was at this point I decided to write this review and essentially send back for a refund.I had high hopes given the Otterbox name, my only wondering at this point is whether I got a cheap knock off. Whatever the case, I'm certainly requesting a refund at this point.

My phone is used for everything. My work, appointments, internet...Finally arrived a few weeks after ordering. This replacement screen protector is terribly impractical and I'm online getting something else within an hour of fitting it.It makes using the touch screen far too laborious to write emails. A huge amount of thought and design has gone into the efficiency of a touch screen phone and it is as good as it's usability. The 7 edge is a fantastic device but this screen protector turns it into a hacking brick.The plusGood fit and clear screen otherwise I'd not have given any stars. It is certainly thick and heavy.The minusThe screen is very insensitive through this protection so texting is laboriously heavy, inaccurate and frustrating. Not a good purchase and my thumb hurts from trying to type even a short text or fixing an appointment in calender. Really have to push hard and even then it's lost all precision so everything is taking three times as long.

I bought this two days ago and it does fit my Samsung Galaxy Edge 7. It went on smoothly, and true enough I didn't have any problems with bubbles. Why the two stars? Because this screen protector makes it SOOOO HARD for me to type! My screen's sensitivity has been reduced greatly and I have to really tap hard for the keys to register. Aditionally, it takes me three or four swipes to get my quick menu to drop down from the main screen. It's so annoying. I had an otter box glass screen protector like this before which I bought directly from their stall in a mall and that worked beautifully. Is this one a fake?

Cons:As other have said, thickness or whatnot make it difficult to type/use the phone in general.Doesn't quite fit perfectly so the corners are very slightly raised, making it even more difficult to use the touchscreen in those areas.Black trim makes it look horrendous. I don't think there even is a black version of this phone, just gold, blue and pink. What's wrong with clear?Pros:It is very thick, so I imagine would protect the screen pretty well.I bought it as Otterbox has been a good brand for me in the past, but this is just frustrating. I even bought the Symmetry case this is designed to be used with, in the hope it would make it work but no luck. Perhaps the curves on the Edge screen make it difficult to get a screen protector right, and I don't think I will be buying an Edge phone again.

First of all the product I got and the instruction that came with it, didn't match at all.Second, after installing, the touch screen is terrible. I have to pressed really hard or drag really hard for it to do something.I recommend staying away from this product.
