Not what I was hoping for!
First, I never received the product with the blue lenses that I ordered; I received the smoke lenses. And the goggles leaked no matter how tight or loose I made them. I owned another pair from a couple years ago and loved them but they started leaking and the strap broke after I got them too tight. So...can't seem to get the right equipment for triathlon racing. Pretty disappointed.

Expensive but Excellent Fit and Seal
These goggles fit very well. They never leak and are comfortable for my typical one-hour swims, both pool and open-water. I trust this fit and design regardless of the water temperature. I swim in temps ranging from an open-water low of 54 degrees to a warm 82 degree pool and the fit handles both without problems or change in water seal. The integrity of this seal has not changed in over a year of heavy use.I do not believe the lens quality is any better than a much cheaper pair of goggles. For $35 I would expect more (how about scratch resistance?) but now just accept the fact that scratches and overall lens durability is not any better than all the $6 pairs I've used over the past twenty-five years. Environmental conditions and the usual gym bag abuse will always take their toll. Range of vision left and right, up and down, is not noticeably better than cheaper goggles. Again, the difference for me is the excellent fit and long-term integrity of the seal. I don't believe the Hydra Vision improves my water speed and would challenge anyone to prove that this design will outperform another less expensive brand.Ultimately, we have to weigh the cost and inconvenience of trying other brands and styles and their performance over a long time verses sticking with an overpriced brand that works and works well.Because I swim frequently I value reliability. Spending only $35 a year for such an important piece of equipment is not that big of a problem. I get a product that fits me and works very well. I just try to protect the lenses from scratching and keep them dry before stowing away. I'll order my seventh pair next spring.
