Beautiful and Functional
This looked good in the product photos but it is beautiful in person. We've received compliments on it from visitors. When was the last time someone said anything nice about your dog gate?The pictures do make the wood look more red than it is. The actual color is a nice medium brown wood that goes well with the other wood tones in our house.The gate is lighter than I expected, although that has not been a problem. Despite the weight it is quite solidly made. Do keep in mind that it will need to be angled to stand up on its own, so it will not cover 52" opening unless you plan on attaching it to something. 45" is probably a more realistic length for practical coverage.I am very pleased with this gate and recommend it highly.

poor quality all around
Poor quality gate - doesn't look at all like the picture from vendor. The "stain glass" is paper-thin painted plastic, wood is washed out and rough to the touch. It arrived broken, despite double-packing and no sign of damage or impact on boxes. I returned this item.
