Big Edge wrong sock!
I ordered this sock with the special cuff but all I got was the regular waterproof sock from Big Edge, which I already have. I can always use another pair of the regular waterproof sock, but it certainly doesn't give you the water seal promised by the product that I had ordered. I noticed that Big Edge was gracious enough to mis-label their the packaging, going right over the original label, although the top of the package clearly says "all season socks". The cuff seal is not there, so if you ordered the sock with a cuff seal and then were sent the wrong thing, you might have a water leakage problem. Since both the regular all seasonwaterproof sock and the SealSkinz with the In Cuff Seal in fact have a cuff, you could be misled into thinking that you have the one with the waterproof cuff. So, buyer beware. I'll keep the socks, as I said I can always use them, but it was disappointing to get the wrong one. Do NOT use Big Edge. The three stars I am giving is really a combination of 1 star for Big Edge and 5 stars for the regular sock (sans In Cuff Seal).

Could be much better fit, kept me dry in swamps.
I mean, seriously would it kill them to make a women's version? Enough of me being a bitter woman, these felt strange when I first put them on, like they were squishing my toes. I put them on for the first time before I went to bed because I knew I was going into two swamps the next day. In the middle of the night I woke up and was afraid my toes would hurt the next day so I took them off. When I woke up I put them back on and started walking in my soaking wet boots, and lo and behold they instantly melded to my feet and became relatively comfortable. And my wet boots didn't do anything to get my feet wet. Then I tromped through some swamps. And I mean SWAMPS. I mean up to my knees sometimes in the nastiest smelliest muck. But my feet stayed dry. I was much warmer having dry feet even though my pants got wet. The last time I was in these swamps I didn't have waterproof socks on and I was very cold and miserable. Every time I stopped I would start to shiver. This time the wet pants didn't feel so bad since my feet were wet and I was way, way, way more comfortable. I wear size ten women's shoes and ordered size medium socks, and they fit okay. It wasn't the greatest fit but it was more comfortable than having wet socks that fit well.Update:I wore these into far worse swamps. My boots were soaked for 17 hours, and it wasn't until the end that they started to feel wet and I think it was because of sweaty feet more than water getting in. Quite a few times my shoes had so much water in them the pooled water was squishing against my toes as I was going downhill and the water still did not push into the sock! Negative, I seem to have acquired some sort of rash on my right leg where the plastic part of the sock is. Positive: I was well above the sock and water did not get into the sock. I will gladly take weird plastic rash to being wet in January.Update:If these socks were a man I would marry them. The more I wear them through horrendous environments the more I love having dry feet. I see other people without them and can't imagine just slogging around with wet feet. It does bother me a lot that they don't fit the arch of my feet better, but I would much rather wear slightly uncomfortable socks but have dry feet. One negative I'm still trying to sort out is the smell. Mine absolutely reek of swamp. Or maybe foot bacteria, who knows? I think not being able to put them in dryer is not helping the smell. I'm going to try dipping them in vinegar water and spraying febreeze on them.UPDATE:So when you wash these, wash them one way, flip them inside out, and wash them the other. Make sure you dry the inside first, and then the outside. Otherwise they got gross. And I mean GROSS. Maybe this was in the car instructions and I just missed it. I just remembered reading to wash them on delicate and then air dry them. I guess the inside wasn't drying out and that is what the strange smell was coming from. Now I know.

This are NOT really SealSkinz.
This pair of sock arrived today and they are NOT SealSkinz brand. The brand is Hanz. Not happy about the deception.

Really waterproof sizing is weird though
I wear a size 8.5 shoe and I needed the XL sock. The rest squexed the toes too much and were unwearable. I use these socks on my backpacking adventures into the deep dence alabama swamp. Wet feet lead to trench foot. With cotton or wool socks they do not dry well leading to blisters. Wet socks create more friction and are heavy. Also the seal skin makes a great moccason. You don't need to carry crocks. Although I recomend being careful not to punch a hole in the goretex it is safe to walk around camp in these as long as you watch your step and avoid sharp rocks or 45 angle machete cut sticks. These are very adaquite for camp lounging. I don't like wearing boots when I don't have to. These work on frozen ground as well although you do feel some of the chill. But it is so light because they are your socks and you don't need crocks. This saves weight. I likee. In conclusion I've walked 17 miles in mine and no blisters. It is safe to say this is an awesome backpacking sock.I have had water up to my waist and no leaks. You get what you pay for! You get the UBER SOCK!This sock is thick enough so that you don't need gators. You don't feel the prickleys on your calves and ankles when you wear these. Once agian this saves weight. They are worth the price. I have 2 pair and luv um. :)awesome sock!

Saran wrap would be better than this garbage.
Cheaply constructed garbage. After ONE hike involving crossing streams and submering my feet at times, the socks passed water faster than a strainer. The liner is cheap and no more durable than Saran Wrap!! You might as well buy a roll, wrap your feet (twice) and put on a pair of regular socks.
