President Raised Toilet Seat and Frame - Adjustable Width

I had hip replacement and needed toilet seat raised when I got home. NHS recommended a 'fit on the toilet' version which raises in fixed one inch OR two inch OR three inch units...... but I bought this and really glad I did. It can raise several inches up to 6 I think - maybe more (so great for long legged people) in 1 inch units - as I've got better I've slowly reduced the height. If I'd used NHS version I would have had to buy a handle frame too but this is all one unit and it's solid. I think the frame can be used separately if you just need the handles later (wouldn't swear to that cos I haven't tried). Seat very wide and flat which feels very secure and comfortable compared to a separate toilet seat which can move. I fits my wide hipped size 22 butt and 16 stone very well with spare space!. I recommend you measure your toilet before buying to make sure it fits - I have two toilets and it only fits in the bathroom but it's too big for the downstairs toilet. I needed the width to expand because the operation cut runs right where the handle raises at the back. As it goes I haven't needed to expand it - it's wide enough as it is. Expanding the width and height is really easy. Worth noting - with the hospital version the whole house would have to use the raiser cos it's fixed to the toilet but this version allows family to temporarily remove this raiser and use the toilet as usual. Really easy to clean since the seat and tunnel to the toilet is all one unit - all waist goes into the toilet rather than a bucket. Perfect. BTW ladies - sit far back on the seat and part yr legs slightly when having a pee or you'll find a water patch on the floor via your legs - sorry to be indelicate :-)
