The description says it is stainless steel, not plastic with a coating. Some reviews said it is not as described and is plastic. What is it made of?

Metal throughout except insert has plastic threads. I bought 3 and have been very pleased had them a year. No discoloration. I had bought ceramic dispensers and the pumps dscolored in a short am out of time. These pumps were bought as replacemens. Now I have beautiful soap dispensers again!

The best way to know if this pump is going to fit is to buy a 1.2, 1.5 or 2 liter Coca-Cola and try that cap on what you want to use with this pump.
