It does what the description says

Great value for money. Works great the quality is good but not as hood as the original ones that came with the tv

The only way it was universal was the fact it didn't work on any TV! The only reason I rated it 1 star was the fact that I couldn't submit my review without a rating !

I'm on my third one now in as many years, initially works well but stops responding after about 12 months use, weighs about a quarter of the original, for what they cost look at it as disposable,

I hope Amazon allows this review.The remote-control is great and works with both my Samsung TVs. The price of the remote-control is excellent as well – completely recommend.My experience of smart TV remotes has seen 3 of them break – at least once because this totally thin man sat on the remote on my sofa I.e. they really aren’t particularly robust.After purchasing this remote-control, obtain a smartphone remote-control app and connect it to your TV. You need a remote-control to do this and so purchase this product. I now have 4 phones connected to 2 televisions and I put the newly purchased remote-control in the safest place to hopefully never use it.And yes, I was tempted to connect a few more phones to the TVs but that would be the definition of obsessive-compulsive.
