Slightly underpowered electric wine opener. I bought this as a replacement for my Oyster Electric Wine Opener (5-stars) when I lost the charger during a move. It thought this looked cool because of it's smaller size and light. However, every time I use it, I am left wondering if will actually pull the cork entirely out of the bottle. I can hear the motor struggling and a few times the motor did not have enough power to remove the cork.

I would have given this 5 stars across the board, and have purchased them as gifts...but after having it for about a year, my daughter’s has stopped working...will not go forward to remove the cork but will run in reverse...don’t like throwing money away and expected this to last much longer.

This wine opener worked for a month and a half. Then in November it would stop in the middle of the process when opening a bottle of wine. It was like it just ran out of charge halfway through. I tried to recharge it overnight, still did not work. I then recharged it for two days, it still did not work. I tried to return it but Amazon said I only had 30 days to return this item. I feel frustrated that it stopped working after the 30 day time limit to return. I now am stuck with a useless appliance that won't work and that I can't return.

The entire experience of using this product was amazing. The foil cutter is light, easy to use, and makes a clean cut without the sharp edges. The wine opener has a sleek design and fits perfectly in the corner on my counter. It's lightweight and easy to hold over the wine bottle. Easy screws into the cork and pulls it out of the bottle, all at the push of a button. It was magical! Will definitely be buying these for birthdays, white elephants, etc.

This is awesome! Why have I gone 15 wine-drinking years without one? You stick the gizmo on top of the wine bottle, lining up the corkscrew and the cork and hold the bottle and push the button. Voila! Cork is out. Push the button the other way and it spits the cork out. And it comes with a handy foil cutter! Everyone needs one of these.

Bought this for my girlfriend and she loves how easy it is now to open a bottle of wine. And once done using it she can put it on the charging stand which is a bonus

I like the product. It does well opening synthetic corks but struggles to release them. However it does get the job done if you are patient. Works beautifully on natural corks.

The product looks good comma opens wine, and recharges. The long-term goal to get 5 stars has to do with battery life. We had the smart image 1 and it went dead after a short period of time

I am totally loving this electric wine opener. No more corks torn in pieces because I went in on a slight slant with a manual corkscrew, now I get a perfectly smooth extraction every time!I placed it in its charging base as soon as I received it. It took me a few moments to set it in place properly but once I understood the placement, I can pop it right into place without a thought. I like that the light shows that it is charging by turning red, blue when it is fully charged.Certainly, you learn things as you go along. I learned that I am better off placing the bottle on the table and holding it while I use the opener. If you don't do that, the bottle will begin to spin, kind of like using an electric screwdriver with a nut and bolt system. You need to hold the bolt in place. :)I like that I don't have to watch it while it works its way into and pulls out the cork, it will automatically stop once your cork is all the way out of the bottle. Pull it off the bottle, press the button down again until it stops and out pops your cork!Note that this wine opener doesn't re-cork your wine bottle, so you will just have to polish it all off. That is the ONLY good and reasonable solution.I've used it over the past 2 months, maybe 40-ish times (yea, so, WHAT!?) and not one time did it break a cork on me.And it looks really kind of cool too. I love this. It's my first electric wine bottle opener and it's incredible Very easy to use and I love the fact that no batteries are required. Its very easy to use.Update. I ahem owned this for about 6 months now and it ck tiniest to work effortlessly I open between 1-2 bottles a week and have had no issues. Would definitely recommend. So much easier than a manual opener and it works on all bottles including icewine bottles that are sometimes difficult to open with electric openers. At least that's what others have told me.UPDATEI continue to be thrilled with the functioning of this item. Everyone who comes over is immediately impressed with it. I just purchased a second one to give as a gift for my dad. I know he will be thrilled with it. So much easier than his old manual opener.

The media could not be loaded.  What a great product!!! So easy to use, and cleverly designed as well. I love the charging light indicator (it did take longer than expected to come to initial charge... about 12 hours rather than the 6 hours the manual indicates), but once charged it's really great. Quickly and easily screws the cork without pressure or twisting. Easily removes cork off the twist with the press of a simple button. I am definately happy I bought this!

Edit: it broke a year laterBught this for my Dad because he has arthritis in his hands and has a hard time uncorking now. The opener works just as advertised and demonstrated in other videos. It charged up quickly and looks sleek on the counter. He hasn't gone through thirty bottles yet, so I don't know how long the battery lasts. But it looks to be good quality and because its sits nicely in the charging station, I can't forsee battery life being an issue.
