Really loving this fan. I've had tower fans in the past that were too loud, took up too much space, or didn't actually move air that well. Happy to report that this little fan is exactly what I was looking for. The lowest speed setting moves a LOT of air, and the higher speeds aren't too noisy. The style settings and sleep modes are just bonus features to me, and are much appreciated. The sleep setting actually turns off ALL of the lighting, whereas other fans I've had in the past I had to find a way to block an LED, like with electrical tape or black nail polish. I've enjoyed this fan so much that I've ordered another one for my bedroom to replace an old table fan that doesn't move any air at all, looking forward to it!

The height is excellent and reaches all the people sitting head to toe.Five variable speeds. On first speed you would not hear a thing other than just feeling gentle breeze. But it's max speed it will blow away anything in front of us. Fantastic power yet almost silent.Very useful timer function as well as various modes. Breeze mode sleep mode and wind mode.The timer function can be operated with the remote control as well and we don't have to worry about turning it off.Entire family of ours loves this.

Pros: 5 speeds allows for 2 low settings that are whisper quiet; Large bright display is easy to read but turns itself off to keep the room dark; Easy to use remote; Mute feature so it doesn't beep when changing settings; Remembers your last used settings; Easy to open for cleaning inside; Well designed cord management keeps the cord from getting tangled underneath it; Eco-friendly cardboard packaging.Cons: Always turns on at full power before quickly ramping down to the selected speed--this is startling if you're not expecting it; There is no built-in slot to store the remote which is tiny and easy to lose; If you unplug it or there is a power outage it no longer remembers your last used setting; With the optional extension column that makes it taller it is a bit wobbly though only noticeable when you pick it up, not when it is running; Like other tower fans it would benefit from a heavier base to make it less likely to get knocked over.Using this fan makes me wonder why the vast majority of fans out there are designed with only 3 speeds, all of which generate noise. Every fan I have previously owned has a low setting which is still noisy, and a medium and a high setting which are much too loud for comfortable talking (or sleeping). This fan, however, could be used in a conference room on its lowest setting and no one would hear it or have to talk over it. Even the second lowest setting is just barely audible while still moving a decent amount of air. If it's really hot and humid, you're probably going to want one of the higher, louder settings to move more air. In an already air-conditioned house, though, or on those mild days when you open up all the windows, the lowest two settings will be pleasantly quiet and can still be felt if you're sitting 6-10 feet away.I did have a bit of trouble assembling the optional extension column that makes it taller. Even with all the pieces screwed in tight, it wobbled a bit when I would pick it up. I even took it apart a couple times thinking I hadn't put it together correctly, but the slight wobble is still there. It doesn't wobble or rock when oscillating; I only feel the wobble when I pick it up to move it. With the extension column installed, it is just a little top-heavy. It's not easy to push it over, but like other tower fans I have tried, I wish it came with a heavier base to make it more secure.In summary, this is the quietest fan that I have ever owned, and the overall design makes it easy to use with a lot of smart features that are missing in other fans.

I just received this Taotronics tower fan and set it up in my bedroom. My last tower fan tat I had purchased did not last very long and I used it a lot daily. I looked at reviews on quite a few of these on Amazon and decided that this one had what I want for a good price. It even had a coupon for money off. I don’t need it to oscillate much because of where it is but I was more interested in the power of the air flow and having more than 3 settings. It was simple to put together. I wanted a remote control as well and this one is not hard to use. I can keep it bedside which is nice. I don’t know how much I will use the different modes but I think they are a nice addition for someone who would use them. I have illnesses that cause me to be hot most of the time so I would keep it higher probably regardless. I do like the timer function which I used on my last one. I can set it for my sleeping hours and it will shut off automatically. It has memory function so that it will keep your settings when turned back on with the exception of the timer so you should note that if you are using it. I don’t have issues with the display light being on when I sleep but if you do you should note that after 1 minute of it being on and you making no changes the display (lights) will turn off. When you press a button it comes back on. It also has a mute/unmute feature from the remote so that you do not have to hear the beeps when making changes to the fan. So far, so good for this fan. I hope it lasts a lot longer than my last so we shall see.

Another definition of silent is powerful. The highest fan speed setting 5 is powerful, and the 1 and 2 are very quiet at night. The touch sensitive buttons on top is a great feature for easy clean. Remote is easy to use as well. It is the normal 42 inches hight as my lasko tower fan.

Sadly I cannot even review the actual product because I couldn't get beyond putting the crappy, flimsy base together. The pieces would not align and would not fit together. In the process of trying to put it together pieces just broke off.Returned it for the junk that it is. They need to work on better quality for the base

I spent ages looking for a fan that would suit my needs, I have a fairly big bedroom and wanted it in a corner out the way that would still blow air across the room. I also wanted one that was quiet and not too big.This is the perfect fan and I’m glad I spent a little over what I originally wanted to pay. Even on the highest speed it’s still fairly quiet and doesn’t make any noises when on oscillation mode. I was really glad as well that you can mute the beeping when cycling through speeds and other settings. The display also turns off after a minute so it won’t disrupt any sleep. The breeze reaches all around my room and will be perfect for hot nights.Absolutely love the remote too, you can perform all functions on this just as you can from the actual device.I thought it would be bulkier than it is and it actually fits in well in the corner and doesn’t get in the way.Would fully recommend - especially if you’re looking for a quiet fan to have on during the night!

Glad I bought it before the really hot weather comes and fans are very hard to buy. Well worth the money, Durable and stylish tower fan. I highly recommend this product.

I bought this after being disappointed with the honeywell quietset HYF260E which sells for roughly the same price.,so I will compare the two.The only slight negatives about the Taotronic fan :1) The lowest speed is slightly too high. I'm not sure I'd want to sleep in the same room as this fan due to the noise. . However for my use case (conservatory / living room ) it is perfect. Noise is very unobtrusive for day to day life.2) The 'height extension' make the fan slightly wobbly when you touch it. Not sure if that is important but it's worth mentioning.The positives:1) It looks great in real life. Modern and stylish. Miles better than the honeywell which looks like a kids plastic toy, especially the outdated control panel and the obtrusive logo.2) Airflow is great, noise is acceptable. Honeywell is quieter but gives an annoying thumping noise on it's lowest setting which rather defeats the purpose.....3) Oscillation is smooth and silent and does not stutter / click like the honeywell.It's also worth mentioning that it has lots of different modes, but I honestly haven't used them yet.So it's a yes for me - I'm keeping this one.Please note: I did not receive this product for free or get offered any incentive to write this review.....I'm not sure how many of the other reviews are genuine, but this one is !!

It took me ages to commit to spend over £80 on a new fan for our bedroom but I am so very glad I did. I wanted a quiet fan with good directional air flow so that I could get the moving air but not my wife as she doesn't like the air moving her hair and tickling her face. This fan has so many features its brilliant. You can have it set to a natural setting which blows air at different strengths, simulating natural conditions. An excellent sleep function I like. Another good feature is where it blows quite strong and gradually lessons in time. Good for cooling down. A nice quality construction with a handy remote.
