KBS Coatings 8504 DiamondFinish Clear Coat - 1 Gallon

The media could not be loaded.  I used this product to make my oxidized faded camper look new again. After trying multiple products and not seeing the results I wanted, I opted to use this product. The entire camper was stripped of wax and wet sanded to remove excess debris and imperfections, just before spraying the coating. I only did one coat on the sides and it looks great. The front and the back of the trailer have 3 coats and you can definitely tell the difference. For a 30 foot camper I used about 1.5 gallons. Also you can use XYLENE to thin this product for spraying- I thinned about 12.5% and sprayed using about 75 psi with a 1.4 tip. Makes the camper shinier than it was new. Thanks KBS!

I tried many different application methods, all with high quality application tools, and in the end I had to settle for a matte/not smooth surface on my boats fiberglass hull. A brush left stroke marks especially when overlapping the last strokes. a foam roller left air bubbles that pop like miniature moon craters and a low nap roller left the undesirable rough matte finish. I applied this in a Florida morning with lower humidity and 80-85 degree temps. I’ll have to come back later and add photos because it won’t let me pull from my iPhones photo gallery.

I did not use the product because of high VOC's and customer described performance issues that made me neurotic enough not to want to paint my $10,000 boat with. It may be a perfectly good product but from what I read it should be sprayed and not brushed on large projects....and the idea of sanding it off as describe in other customer ratings.... If I could have returned the product I would never have written it a bad review as I do not really know.. but I can read! My advice is read the 2 and 3 star reviews some of the one star ones were often operator error. To conclude if you don't have a paint sprayer and paint garage.. you should use the no VOC epoxy from the Epoxy Resin Store online you get a gallon and a half.... not a gallon.. if you have a drip you can sand and recoat. easy peasy. 2nd coating is simple light sand fine grit sandpaper... Epoxy is very stable in the environment. These dudes should have done the return... I have no doubt I just cost them more with this review... I am not angry but I am effective!

Nice productLid is a bit of work to take off and bent and was an issue to reseal. If you donot mind price it’s a good deal as only cheaper way is 5 gal size.
