Q: Is this a better alternative to the framemeister on an NES?

I am using it for laser disc player with only composite video (yellow) out for connection to Samsung HD television. Works great for that at a price much less than framemeister. I also have old VCR connected via s-video. Not sure if NES would work the same.

Q: Does this preserve the 4:3 aspect ratio of older game consoles? The previous model stretched to 16:9.

Yeah it streches I believe but depending on what console you're using it for the game should have an option for either 4:3 ratio or 16:9

I do not believe so. Unless you can find a separate HDMI transmitter to plug into and then actually have a receiver attach to the televisions that you want to use I seriously doubt it can be used for that feature. It currently does not have any transmitting capabilities of itself.

Yes, I have used it for Xbox One, Xbox 360, Switch, GameCube, Dreamcast, Saturn, and CDX.
