Bottom strap broke after a 17 mile hike.

Great except for:
I absolutely loved the light weight and the fact that they fitted so snugly. But after only about 10 miles of hiking the plastic hook on the strap under the sole broke. It is too bad as I really like these gaiters.

Poor design and quality
The elastic cord that secures the clips to the gaiters broke off the first time I went to put them on. Never got to use them once and now the return window has passed. Very disappointing for a product from Outdoor Research. Save yourself some frustration and purchase a different pair.

Can’t leave without it
I hate things going into my shoes. Even the tiniest things, i can feel them. With this, nothing gets in my shoes. During camping, i took off my shoes often to go in and out of the tent, it is easy to take off and put back on

Elastic band broke on test fit

Lightweight, summer gaiters.
Thin, lightweight gaiters for summer hiking / backpacking. Easy to wash as well.

Broke while putting them on
The elastic band that keeps it wrapped around your shoe broke while putting the gaiter on for its first use.

This product did not last more than 4 hours on the trail. The foot strap broke the first time I used them on a hike.
