Handy Tool for Classrooms!
I purchased this set to help my students at school (I’m a teacher) clear out headphone jacks that often get filled with pencil lead, lint, and all kinds of random debris. It’s been super helpful and works in about 90% of cases, especially for clearing out softer or loose materials. However, it's not quite strong enough to remove broken-off metal pieces from headphone jacks—that’s when I still have to call in our tech team. Overall, it’s a handy tool to have on hand for quick fixes and everyday classroom tech issues!

!!!!!!
i was able to remove the tinniest and least-likely-to-be-removed aux tip from the aux input in my vehicle with lots of ease and very little effort. none of the car audio shops within countless miles had the ability to help. i’m very impressed!

Doesn’t work
Didn’t work for us. Metal bent and couldn’t grab the jack inside.

30 second fix
So grateful for this tool! 30 seconds later my keyboard is working! Worked perfectly.

It works!
Plain and simple and it worked. Might be a bit tricky if the piece is tiny like the one I had to remove. Work gloves are a necessity to grip the tube tight enough.

Worked like a charm
If you are considering using Glue or anything - DONT. Just pony up and buy a pack of these. Daughter broke an 1/8 plug off in her Aux Port in her GM Car Radio. I could hardly see the plug in the port, only knew that you could not plug in anything behind it. I slid this in, and very gently tapped on the end with a screwdriver handle... First time, half the plug came out. Second time the tip came out. Seriously - These little tools are handy... Don't manhandle it - be gentle, and you will save your radio...

Took more force than expected, but it works.
I tried the tips and tricks on youtube... coffee straws, pen ink tube, super glue in the end of the headphone plug still attached to the headphones. Tried super glue in all of those things, let it sit 24 hrs. Nothing worked. Then, came across this tool set.If you are careful and watch the side contacts of the headphone jack you may not damage your port when using this tool. My port got damaged when trying all the other hacks. This tool as made it worse, because the contacts were already damaged by my frustrations.Do yourself of favor and order this before trying those hacks. Also, it took way more force to get it past the broken tip than I anticipated. This could have been in part trying the other hacks with super glue prior to trying this removal tool. The instructions say squarely banging it in on a book or something like that once in all the way where you can't push it by hand. This didn't work for me... the sharp end (it is really thin rolled metal) cut into the book same when I tried it on a board and didn't past the broken piece. I had to bang mine on flat solid piece of metal (an anvil on a vice). Oncd fully inserted I crimped the tube of metal together with needle nose pliers to insure it wouldn't lose it's grip. After that it came right out, but it did take 2 tries to get it right.

Flimsy and delicate
I have a video camera which takes a 3.5mm microphone jack. The jack broke off inside its socket, and I bought a set of these to try to remove it. Although I carefully followed the instructions, the tools would not grip the stub of the jack to lift it out. I can see how these are intended to work, and perhaps on a looser fitting plug they might have some effect. But none of them worked in my camera despite repeated attempts.
