Worked perfectly
This Fluidmaster replacement disk worked perfectly and solved the "ghost flush" problem. I was replacing an original very old American Standard black rubber disk, so in addition to the "ghost flush" problem, I was always getting black marks appearing on the inside of the toilet bowl in a very short time after it was cleaned. The source of these black marks was the decomposed black rubber disk, and they are gone now too. Hopefully this red rubber disc will hold up better overall than the black rubber. The price was right. At $3.19 it was cheaper than any of the other alternatives on Amazon, but I figured since it had the Fluidmaster name, it would have to be decent. I might have gone with an actual American Standard disk, but it would have been the black rubber, and it only came in the snap-in style. I needed the screw-in adapter, and this Fluidmaster works for both snap-in or screw-in applications.

Works good, after it self adjusted.
This product took a little over 2 weeks to finally set in place and not drip anymore. At first I thought it was installed too tight, then not tight enough, until I left it just snug and over the course of just over 2 weeks the slow drip that it had went away on its own. And now it works well.On a side note, this Fluidmaster flush valve disc fits perfectly in a 1960’s American Standard 4049 with a flapper flush valve that had a black seat disc of the same size and style.

Works better than original
Easy to install. A bit softer or less stiff than the originals. They definitely seal better.

Good as new
This valve seat will stop the ghost flushing on a 30 year old American Standard 4049 (at least it did for me). Mine was the snap on kind, although it took far more force than I thought would be necessary to remove the old part, which was badly deteriorated and the rubber had lost all it's plasticity. Be careful, but forceful when removing the old valve seat disk. I spun mine counter clockwise for a while thinking that it must have been the screw-in kind, before I realized it just needed a lot of force to pull the old one out. Good luck! No more ghost flushes or wasted water! You'll probably recoup the cost in the first month. Easy fix!

Works Great!
I have to stock it now that the local big box stores don’t stock them around my area. They work great, last years and at a reasonable price. What more can you ask?

slight alteration needed for Amer Stand #4 device
Great price hopefully the red rubber does not deteriorate like the black rubber. If using on the AMERICAN STANDARD FLUSH VALVE #4, it is a screw on, this flapper also slightly wiggles and is not rigged to the assembly. Once the brass screw adapter is placed in the flapper, take an exacto knife and cut off the rubber ridge so the screw bottoms out and the rubber ridge does not come in contact with the armed bracket that hold the flapper.follow up review; after my alteration, device seals off perfectly. great item!!

Very happy with the product, works perfectly 5/5!
Recieved today, took a while to arrive from the shipper. I would have purchased off Amazon warehouse instead.Installed the seat disc, and works as should. I bought a seat disc from Home Depot and it was a universal seat disc for American Standard toilets, it worked 75% of the time. Would occasionally get stuck for hours until the handle got jiggled.I was very surprised that the seat disc received is from 'Korky' because they usually go for about $40 if I am not mistaken.Purchased another seat disc for the upstairs toilet.EDIT: the Korky seat disc ordered was from the BIC Warehouse supplier. I ordered another seat disc again but this time from Amazon warehouse and I received a Fluidmaster (which is the same as the Home Depot one that worked 75% of the time). I would suggest the BIC Warehouse supplier, shipping may take longer but the seat disc product is worth it over the Fluidmaster.

Perfect replacement part for the old American Standard Toilets
My old America Standard Toilet (model 4049) toilet tank has been leaking water into the bowl, causing it to draw water every few hours (annoying!!). This was the perfect replacement and easy to install. Mine was the push on type (in my case the screw was not needed). It does take a lot for force to pull off the old one and push on the new one, so do take care not to break any of the plastic parts.

good seal, good price, would recommend
solved my issues with my toliet, I went to check the flapper in mine and it fell apart in my hands, this was a simple install just popped the old one off and used the provided metal bit, popped this one on and the seal is now 100%, the price was reasonable as well I'm gonna replace my other toliet as well.

Heavier than the seat disc I replaced
Needed to replace an old seat disc because it was leaking. This one seals properly and stays on, but it's also significantly heavier than the one I replaced, meaning that if I just push the plunger and walk away the volume of flush water cuts out quite a bit sooner. I kinda need to stay there and hold the plunger down or sometimes I get, uh, small bits of backflow.

Saved a visit by a plumber!
Was going to ring a plumber. Instead, ordered this, popped on super easily & worked properly the first time! Total win!
