Very sharp and well worth the price

Large blade, well built Western style plastic handle makes grip a bit slippery when wet. Blade tends to stain. Excellent value, love Mercer products in general.

I liked the grip. Reduces slippage. The sharpness is adequate. I prefer a larger knife for most knife jobs. Feels good in my smaller woman’s hand. I would buy again. Very good for cost.

Finally ordered a new knife for my college apartment after dealing with an old dull knife. Came razor sharp and cut very easily. Dulled fairly quickly but a quick sharpening got it back to its frighteningly sharp state! My roommates are very scared of me and my 10 inch chef's knife. They are jealous of my ability to easily cut onions.
