JeeJyeJoe 3 Piece Silicone Spatula Slotted Turner Brush Set - Fearless Salmon (Red/Pink)

I was really looking for a new spatula when I found this set. I was excited because I have been using the same pastry brush for a couple years and the bristles are starting to come out on occasion and it's difficult sometimes to thoroughly clean. I read somewhere that silicone brushes are very easy to clean and, obviously, they don't lose bristles. So this set became a two-for-one solution for me. The second spatula was just a bonus.Although I could tell from looking at Amazon's website that the spatulas didn't have the exact angle that I was used to, I was still surprised by exactly how much of an angle they do not have. This makes it difficult to use until you get it angled just right against your food. The edge of the spatula is also thick compared with others that are relatively thin. The first time I used the slotted one I was frying an egg in a smaller frying pan. I didn't have a problem getting under the egg on the first side to flip it over, but when I tried to take it out of the pan it slipped right off the spatula because of the odd angle. In trying to save it I burned my hand on the pan. I attached pictures to show the differences between this spatula and the ones I usually use. The pastry brush, on the other hand, is perfect just the way it is.These are definitely made to last, they are thick, one solid piece, slightly heavy, food doesn't stick to them and they're super easy to clean up. I'm sure with practice the angle will get more natural to me. In the meantime I'm proceeding with caution and using larger pans even to fry one single egg!I received a sample of this set free with the agreement I would provide an honest and unbiased review. This review is for the 3 piece silicone kitchen utensil set from JeeJyeJoe. This set is a good set of silicone Brush, sloted turner and a spatula (spoon type). This silicone is very soft. I have several other silicone coated utensils and they are a little stronger than this set thats why I couldn't give it 5/5 stars. The Turner is smaller which is nice for fried eggs etc, but you cannot use it to apply pressure. The turner is very very flimsy at the curve from the handle to the turner itself. The brush is ok, I'm used to using bristle brushes that holds thinner marinades but for BBQ sauces or thicker honey glaze this brush works fine. The silicone bristles won't hold a thin liquid. The spatula is great, we use them mostly for cleaning out bowls such as after we mix up a cake or brownies. The spatula does have a solid piece of plastic or metal down the center of it. It didn't cause any problems but you could see it almost wants to poke a hole in the center of the spatula. This set is ok for light use but if your using these every day you might want a stronger set. For me these get used maybe once every other week so they should last a while. I will be sure to update this review if they fail prematurely. I was given this set for evaluation in exchange for providing an honest review of how well they worked for our family.

Nice, very sturdy. The spatula and brush are a little bigger than what i'm used to, and the slotted spatula is a little thicker than i expected but still works okay with thinner items like pancakes or eggs. The "fearless salmon" color is a little bit weirdly flesh-colored, though. Received at a discount in exchange for my honest review.
