2-Way Audio & PIR Detection Dual Antennas Outdoor Wireless Security Camera System 5.5MP Wi-Fi Video Surveillance DVR Recorder System

I purchased the 00SSXX security camara system October 2022. I installed six of eight camaras at that time. My property has several outbuildings and about 2 acres of land to cover. I installed three of the camaras outside in the elements and three of the camaras inside the outbuildings. The picture quality of all the camaras is outstanding as is the night vision. I am able to identify people at a distance of 600 feet in daylight and at about 80 feet in the darkness. I live in Michigan where we have harsh, snowy, cold winters and the outdoor camaras worked flawlessly in subzero snowy, slushy conditions without any problems. The outbuildings are about 600 feet from the internet hub that is used. The package comes with two remote antennas that I used for the interior of the outbuildings to boost the signal. They both work extremely well with the external antenna magnetically placed on the outside of the buildings. Set up for the camaras at the base station was intuitive and relatively easy, almost plug and play except for setting preferences for the alerts to my phone / E mail. The only difficulty I had when I got started was getting the camara view on my phone to display in a timely manner. They sent out an update for the app, and that problem disappeared. I would highly recommend this system as an affordable, high quality easy to operate and set up alternative to a subscription system. I am planning on installing the final two camaras inside of the house but have not yet completed that task.Update July 2023 - We were on vacation and an alert came across the phone that intruders were looking in windows and checking doors for security. We called the sheriff's department to intercept, but the intruders had seen our camera set up and hastily left. I returned to the house to meet with the sheriff and was able to provide them with several still photos and six videos from this system that were able to identify the intruders. The sheriff's department posted the videos both on their internet website as well as provided them to the local news station. We are waiting to see what results are provided in the coming days. Needless to say, our neighbors all asked for our system information and will be making several purchases.

I really like this system as it has good video resolution with a wider field of view than my older system of 5 years and those had 1080p cameras.The app works versus my old one stopped after one phone update so fingers crossed it will keep performing. The app seems simple which is good and function speed seems to depend on your internet connection. The videos display can be vertical or landscape by rotating and you can zoom to an individual camera by double tapping ans. Zoom in from there with more taps. The speaker seems to work, but I don’t know if I’ll really use it.The signal of these cameras is stronger than my old wifi one as I just replaced camera for camera position and have had no loss in signal or the need of an accessory antenna which I did with my old system.The install was straightforward with a small hiccup of a pre-installed PW but customer service (phone) helped me correct it and then I completed the setup.I hoped I could use the old mounting screw holes but the base is larger here and so I drilled 2 new holes per camera position (4). Each camera needs its own power plug and the video feed is via wifi and I had already worked that out with my previous system. Also, I already had a good monitor for system from my previous one, otherwise you should get a high resolution monitor to take advantage of the cameras’ clarity.For the money, this camera system is hard to beat with the 2 TB hard drive, as long as you don’t mind drilling and running some wires for your house. Only time will tell if this system will last long, but that’s true with anything electronic these days.

This is my 3rd system (1st time with OOSSXX) in about 10 years. I've had this one now for about 6 months and am very happy with it. Reasonably priced and very simple to set up. I like the fact I only need to run a single cable (power) to the cameras. The wireless works great. I was initially concerned about having to set up all the cameras on my wifi router/AP (I use address reservations) but that wasnt an issue since the cameras only connect wirelessly to the NVR itself. The NVR is wired to my network, giving me access to live/recorded footage remotely. The interface is better than the previous ones I've used, though the menu system is a bit overly complex. Images (day and night) are clear. There is only a single USB port on the NVR for either a mouse or thumb drive for footage export. I resolved that with a simple USB hub.The audio (2-way) feature worked better than I anticipated. I had a previous system where the audio was barely audible. This one is much better. I can hear slight breezes / rustling of leaves if I turn on the audio and audio out is very strong. The alarm feature is nice as well.I also liked being able to use some of the cameras as repeaters to improve signal to my furthest cameras.The only complaints I can see is perhaps that the cameras are on the large size. I used junction boxes to help with mounting and routing of cables. Also the antennae on some of them seem to require some re-tightening, though its possible that may be due to a bird perching on them.
