Good overview of the History of the Bib
Back in the 1970s this was a great help understanding the Bible. It is no less today. My only complaint is that cheap printing makes it sloppy and annoying to read. It is great for both children and adults. May our great God bless.

Simply cannot be beat!
This picture Bible is in comic strip form, and covers many Bible stories! There are also pages of biblical facts for kids to uncover and learn. I have read through it many times myself, and it is true to the biblical narrative. Awesome and realistic artwork, not cartoonish at all!! Highly recommend!!!! Great gift for kids.

Beautiful!!!!
Takes me back to my early childhood days. I am so happy to have been able to find this in new condition. When I was younger, it helped my reading skills to improve and broadened my imagination. With that it made me want to read it and stay with it continuously as a child. On that note, I learned and was able to recognize and know all the major stories in the Bible. It is such a great buy for any one of all ages, not only just parents with young children. Even though, it is in comic book format it holds interest, with that being said. It is the best bible I have ever had as this is my 3rd one in my lifetime from childhood to adulthood.

Great early Bible for kids.
The Picture Bible is formatted with pictures like in a comic strip. It is a great first Bible for kids to be read to and later to read on their own. Is quite accurate to the Bible. My kids have loved it and now also the grandkids.

I LOVE THIS PICTURE BIBLE!!
I Love This Picture Bible!!I am 64 years old, and maybe the oldest kid of all !! Years ago, I bought these Bibles; one for my own children, some as gifts for other children, and also for other families with children. In one family the dad, who did not like to read at all, read this through and loved it. It is a great way to introduce the Bible to those who might think the Bible is boring or hard to understand. What is really nice is that you can get a quick, Big picture of the main stories throughout the entire Bible. You don't get slowed down with lots of details. You get the main stories with their lessons quickly; and then compiled one upon another, so that reading this becomes a "shot in the arm", or a therapeutic dose of God's Word. It is a Great way to get the Full, Big Picture quickly before going into a much slower detailed, and completely accurate study of God's Word.I just spent the last 3 weeks reading through this Picture Bible yet again. It did for me exactly what it did for me the first time I read it; when I read it over 30 years ago. It built my Faith in God very strong!! It reminded me of the extreme importance of our obedience to God. It reminded me of the very harmful consequences of sin and disobeying God!! It reminded me of God's Goodness, Forgiveness, Grace, & Mercy!! It made me think about how we cannot ever afford to compromise, but rather give God our Very Best; and to do all things by Faith in God. It reminded me that God alone is my BEST Strength and Help!! It rekindled a "Fire" in my heart. I am now purchasing these Bibles again to share with more children; hoping that the Picture Bibles will also fall into the hands of more adults who will read them :) Shalom Blessings!!

I’m 40, and LOVE IT more than modern Bible comics. 1970s style Art
In some ways, I like it better than the Action Bible, Epic Bible, or Graphic Bible comics.I purchased it about 15 years ago. Back then, I was speed reading through it and tried to go through it in a day (I don’t recommend that). I don’t think I ever finished it.I like to purchase kids fancy Bibles or Bible products. After purchasing some for my little cousins, I purchased my brother the Action Bible (I love that too). I was going to purchase one for myself, but then I decided I won’t spend anymore money until I finish the books I already have.I reopened the Picture Bible open a couple weeks ago, at 39 years old, and I’m hooked! I’m slowly reading a story (about 1-4 pages) each night. I LOVE the style of art! It’s like 1970s vintage style. What’s funny is Sergio Carriello put this together as well as the Action Bible (which is almost 40 years newer and much more modern). I like the pastel colors that some people may complain about in this. In some ways, it makes it feel more vintage. The Epic Bible is excellent too and is a competitive option if you’re only going with one. Some of its artists are the same as from Marvel and DC. Graphic Bible by Mike Maddox is less popular but is excellent too!
