I live in Texas where the sun is actually out to kill you in the summer. The radiant heat is no joke-and being an owner of a car with leather interiors, I get seared every time I come back to my car after leaving it for just 15 minutes. This sun shade is literally a perfect fit for the windshield of my Golf TSI, filling every gap up to the corners. You do have to squish it in a little. It even has a little velcro strap to cover the gap behind the rear view mirror. Major difference when I get in the car, at least 15 degrees cooler than without the shade. I had even considered tinting my windows but now I don't need to with this sunshade.The sunshade is some kind of aluminum material facing outward, and black facing in. It folds up into a little circle about the size of your steering wheel. There is also a little pouch for you to store it when folded up.Never going back to the generic walmart sunshades again... highly recommend vehicle make and model specific sunshades like this. I'm pretty sure this will work for the Golf GTI but can't confirm.

Fits 2019 Mk7.5 GTI windshield perfectly. It's too stiff/big to fit in seat back pocket but fits in door pocket.

Got this a few months ago and used it during the really hot days this summer. The shade did an awesome job keeping the interior cool. It fits perfect and gives 100 percent coverage of rhe windshield. It great and folds up easily and tucks away perfectly under the passenger seat. This is great for the price.

Perfect fit in a VW GTI MkVI. It feels sturdier than other wire/spring shades I've owned. I appreciate the flap that fastens around the rear view mirror, and the included sleeve . I end up knocking my rear view mirror askew every time I take it off, but I think that's mostly operator error. Would recommend!

Although the product description stated this is for a MK6 GTI (Golf) I took a chance and ordered it for my 2007 MK5 - fits perfect! We’ll see how it holds up over time.

Easy to pop into the windshield and keep in place. It really does help keep the car interior cooler. The tricky bit is the twisting and folding to get it into the little bag, but no doubt I'll figure it out. The instructions (with pictures!) make it look so easy. I shall be interested to find out how long it lasts as the sun has destroyed all previous sun shades.

The quality is good, easy to store but it doesn't fit as perfect as they are saying probably it fits a lot better for the GTI since the windshield might be bigger. I tried multiples ways in making it fit but as you can see in the picture is too big compared to others. I have a regular MK6 Golf 2.5l.

Very nice fitment for my car. It works far better than any of those universal-fitting options, my car is noticeably cooler after sitting in the sun. Only thing I dislike is how it always snags the rearview mirror when installing/removing. Also they're quite large to try and fold up while seated, especially if someone else is in the car.

Shade fits my 2020 Golf mk7.5 perfectly, all you need to do is use the velcro to secure it to the rear view mirror and then fold down the driver and passenger sun visors. There is a noticeable difference with how much cooler the car is on a hot summer day with the shades. Shade is very easy to use, folding it back into the bag is a bit tricky at first but easy once you know where to fold it.

This product is not a perfect fit for the VW Golf. I agree that it is a good fit, and superior to most sun shades you would find at department stores. This product does fold up easily and fit into the provided flimsy fabric case. I cannot agree with the cost, I think it is over priced for what you get, but does the job. My Amazon rating is based off of a week's usage and evaluated against cheap Dollar Store/Wal-Mart sun shades, as well as against a high quality, perfectly custom fit sun shade that I recently purchased for my truck.

Fits perfectly on a MK7 Golf R, fairly straightforward to fold up.
