Great features/performance over previous model.
Much better than the older version! I previously had the Rii i8 (non-plus model) that would constantly lag even within less than 10 feet of my android box or PC. Not with this i8+ version. The touchpad can be a bit more sensitive, but this is a non issue as you can adjust the mouse sensitivity within Android/Windows settings to your liking. I rarely use the backlight feature but it is definitely a nice addition. Something else worth mentioning is that the buttons have a very good tactile feel to them and a more pronounced solid feeling when being pressed. Battery life is solid ! I've only charged it once using it pretty consistently for a month or so. The lag is completely eliminated with this model. So if you are looking for a wireless mini keyboard/mouse combo this is the one to get!

It was smaller than anticipated
This is a nice "little" keyboard. I bought it for use with my Firestick especially when searching. It works great, has many key options and has worked well for the time I have used it. I'm still working my way through some of the keyboard options, but I'll get it soon. If you are tired of scrolling up/down, left/right, moving through the default keyboard options for Netflix, Amazon Prime, and any other app (ala kodi) you will find this dandy little keyboard. I keep saying little and that is because it was smaller than I anticipated, but having used it I find that isn't a deterrent. The only problem I foresee is that like any remote it can be lost in the cushions. I bought the blue keyboard and hopefully that will make it easier to find.

Love this little thing
Fits perfectly in my hands. Rubberized textured grip, buttons have light up feature. Keyboard functions perfectly. Best for use with Smart TV, I do not have smart tv, so full features are limited. But I use with Xbox One, so still need to use tv remote, (for power, volume, channel) along with Xbox remote for game play and better menu cycling. But I like it because its so nice to hold and still prefer to use it until I need to switch to the other remotes. I use it use it for scrolling, selecting, searching on xbox, and Netflix, Amazon prime, whenever I need to type. And husband can have a remote with him, and now so can I. :DHelpful hints:*Use [Win] to go to xbox home.*Use [BACK] or [Esc] to go back to previous.*Use [OK], [Enter], [spacebar] to select/enter*Use arrows, or [Tab], [Shift+Tab] ((backtab)) to navigate. Also [PgUp] [PgDn].*Keyboard alpha characters can be typed in almost every search screen.

Works great with my Nvidia Shield
Works great with my Nvidia Shield. Just took off one star because I can't use the home and internet keys with Android TV as you would expect when seeing those keys on the keyboard. I found an app called Button Mapper that enabled me to reprogram some keys to create a home and internet key, to create shortcuts for all of my apps on the Nvidia Shield and to use it for controlling my TV's volume through the Shield. It is a great little keyboard. It would work fine even without reprogramming keys for Android TV.

Ease of use - Great Product
I like to put products to the test before remotely thinking of writing a review.I bought one for myself. Enjoyed it.Bought two more as gifts. They still enjoy it.I've had mine for quite a few months. It has some slight wear from my heavy usage.Although, the battery, structure, and overall feel can't be beat.Plug it into your laptop, computer, PS4/Xbox, and even your TV.It even makes searching on Netflix through your TV so much simpler than having to move around to every letter on the screen through the arrow keys from the remote. Especially since it has the backlight. Makes it so much easier than having to tilt it toward the TV, or another distant light source to see what you're typing.Does your battery seem to drain out faster at times? Adjust your backlight settings. It'll change the battery life consumption, along with turning it off when not in use.Don't leave it turned on for whatever amount of days before you use it again expecting it to be at the same charge level. Since batteries do deplete regardless of usage when still left on. Although, this little device has some extended life.It genuinely is a great product. And you'll start to use your computer in ways you couldn't and/or wouldn't think of.Here's a little tip for people with multiple tabs:Ctrl+Home/PgUp and/or Ctrl+PgDn/EndYou'll be able to cycle through tabs rather quickly without having to use the mouse. Since Ctrl is on the left, and those other keys are on the right-hand side. Making it an essential convenience.Ctrl+1-9Takes you directly to that tab in its respective locationAnd for those unaware: Fn+Spacebar changes your pointer speed for faster movement additional to what you have set in your mouse settings on your computer.

Great wireless keyboard for my NUC.
I wanted a compact wireless keyboard to control a new NUC attached to my TV. The Rii i8+ fit the bill perfectly. The form factor is nice and easy to hold and the keys are all easy to reach. The keyboard, controller keys and mousepad are very responsive with no noticeable delays. Since I only use the keyboard infrequently for a max of 1 hr at a time, I really don’t know how long the battery life is, but it seems to last me about a month before I have to charge it - YMMV. My only (minor) complaint is how extremely light it feels. I would prefer something with a little more “heft” like the weight of a smartphone instead of an empty shell. I’ve looked at many other similar products using the same form factor and they all have approximately the same weight so this is not unique in that regard and has no effect on functionality- it’s just preference.

Exactly what I needed
Wanted something in place of a keyboard when it came to using my smart TV and/or PS4 when it comes to typing. This works great, everything that I needed. Have no issues with the typing. However, in the attempt of trying all the buttons, to see if they all work. Turns out some of the buttons do not work with my Samsung smart TV, such as the power button. I would recommend this if anyone is looking for just a substitute for a keyboard, but be warned that some of the buttons may not be suitable for your unit.
