My furbaby is on meds for a seizure disorder
And I was having a heck of a time finding something to hide it in.....besides HUGE hunk of *gag* Velveeta cheese......that he wouldn't *sniff sniff*…... turn his nose up and balk at whatever the pill was hidden in.He's a pudge and bless his heart.....all he has to do is look at a snack and he gains a pound..so we needed a better answer the hunk of cheese the size of a golf ball..to get him to take his meds twice a day.My daughter, who is a vet tech, sent me a bag of the Greenie pill pockets to try...AND WOOOWHOO!*HAPPY DANCE*This is the alternative!!I have to use TWO forMr. "*sniff sniff*.....Wadeuh minute.......*sniff sniff*Is that a*sniff*OMG..It is.....A PILL!!MOM!!!NO NO NO!!!YOU ARE TRYING TO KILL ME I KNOW YOU ARE!!!"uptight dingleberry.(chuckling here...cuz I swear from the way he acts.....I can hear him thinking this way!!)He doesn't have a flavor preference...….in his world it's ALL GOOD!!Nine calories per pocket so we are only adding 36 kal to his daily diet......the kal count is a bonus since some dogs might need two or three to get the pill past a picky nose!I also use these for antihistamine meds.....both guys each get three tabs...and three tabs needs three pill pockets all rolled together..so really, really pleased with the low caloric count. Not to mention getting rid of the stinky-- S.B.D. clear a room in a nano second including his furbaby brother--- butt..the cheese caused. So anyways...we have a winner folks...and we will be buying them by the case!!They do tend to dry out fast, I put the bag they are in, closed with as much air as I can squeeze out..out of the bag......inside a zip top freezer baggie and get as much air out of that bag also before I close it. It helps tremendously here to keep them fresh.

Didn’t think these could trick my dog...
My beagle is one of the best pill locators I have ever known. He’s on a big course of medications right now for anxiety, as well as, a leg injury. I laughed when my vet recommended them. I have hidden things in cheese, meats, homemade pate, peanut butter, pb sandwiches and invariably he has figured them out and spit out the pill. He won’t even take the flavored “chewables.” He loves these, however! Even his largest, most distasteful, Trazodone, he will eat right out of my hand if I wrap them in a pill pocket.

DO NOT ORDER THESE PILL POCKETS
My dog absolutely loves Greenie Pill Pockets. They're like crack for puppies and he goes nuts for them every morning when he takes his meds. However, I think the last batch we ordered must be either tainted or expired because our dog spits them out and refuses to eat them. I reached out to Amazon and was told that this product is not eligible for a refund so it looks like I've lost my money. I recommend buying from a different vendor/website that stands behind their product.

Worth every penny!
I was a bit hesitant about buying pill pockets versus using cheese (or hotdogs, or whatever else). However... we were up to 14 pills per day for our pup and he was getting good at finding the pills in the people food and spitting them back out. These worked wonderfully and he wasn't able to find the pills in any of them! They are indeed tablet sized (I was able to fit 2 tablets in each pocket and just spread the exterior a little thinner). If you have capsules though I would strongly urge you to get the capsule sized pockets. They are very malleable and arrived SUPER soft/melty in the Arizona heat (but did get back to a play dough ish consistency at room temp). Each package had exactly the amount specified on the package. A couple (maybe 1 or 2 per pack) were broken apart within the bags but they were easy enough to pinch the pieces back together.

problem dog is fooled with these
My problem child won't take his pills and will spit them out now matter what we used. We tried cheese, hamburger, deli meat to no avail. We found these and while we had to break up the big pills to fit inside the pockets at least he got his meds. We were so glad to find that these actually worked. We put his Bravecto in them as he will not eat that otherwise. Definitely give these a try if you have a problem child like we do. As you can see in the pic he is loved but a brat.

Wow!!!! These WORK!!!!
My suspicious dogo that gets foul-tasting (according to her) medication twice daily has fouled all my attempts to disguise/hide her tablets in cheese, small bits of meat, various treats. I hate making her unhappy just popping the tabs down her throat twice a day. These pill pockets are amazing! We have been using them for over a month, and she still hasn't caught on that she's taking medication. The instructions for use are clever: pop the medication into the pocket with one hand and then, with the other hand that has never touched the medicine, the soft pocket is pinched closed. The strong (but yummy) smell of the pill pocket covers the odor of the medicine, and is just bite-sized so usually my medium-sized dog swallows it without prolonged chewing. Miracle medication delivery!!!!! She and I are both so happy at medicine time now!

pill pockets
My dog is not picky about what he eats whatsoever, so this is not a review about getting picky dogs to take their medicine. This is just about what an awesome product Greenies pill pockets are. Gone are the days of getting peanut butter all over my hands, having separate peanut butter jars for the humans and dog, and letting the dog lick peanut butter and medicine off my hands until they are dripping with slobber. These little things are great. They are pliable, but they don't crumble. They cover the pills completely so the dog doesn't get any bitter taste at all. For a large dog, these are small enough that he won't try to chew too much and find the medicine. One of these pill pockets can fit a big capsule, or two small to medium pills, and I have fit 3 Benadryl in just one pocket. The dog enjoys them as a treat, and I can give the dog his medicine without having a peanut butter fiasco in the kitchen. The one downside is that once you open a package, they will start to dry out. So if you use them a few months later, they will be a little crumbly. It's never stopped me from using them or the dog from eating them, so it can't be that bad
