Dependable power. Own 3 RAVPowers now
This is a 2nd entry since I own 3 RAVPowers now. I don't often give product reviews, so this is something of an exception. Before purchasing, I researched portable power banks for a while before making a purchase decision. I first picked up one of RavPower's smaller chargers, also from Amazon, and gave that to my daughter before a trip to Japan. It kept its charge, would quickly charge her phone and her friend's phone while out and about during the day, and worked out well for them. Over the course of the next year, the product has continued to hold its charge, charge cell phones and DSLR batteries, and I had no issues. Based upon that, I bought 2 more RavPower charges and have taken them all over North America and South America. These RAVPower chargers have never failed us and are still working out well. I am about to go into my other purchases and provide similar feedback.

Holds lots of power, charges from diverse sources, and charges devices like Surface 3 very well. Good for extreme fieldwork.
This portable charger saved me during fieldwork in remote parts of Africa. It can charge off of many different kinds of solar setups and a car battery inverter. It does not charge quickly, but the amount of charge it holds is well worth the long charging time. I used it to recharge two different kinds of tablets - an old ASUS that is probably not even being sold any more, and a Surface 3. In both cases the charger was able to charge the tablet at the same time the tablet was running. This was terrific because it turned out that my ASUS tablet was NOT able to charge directly from the solar rig. If not for the RAVPower pack, there would have been no way to charge some of these tablets, which would have put me in terrible shape for data collection! It seemed like it held enough juice for two charges of the ASUS, and maybe slightly less than two full charges of the Surface S3. I found it useful to have two of these: One could sit in camp, charging, while the other was with me during my day of fieldwork. The next day I would swap the two so I was never without power. All in all I could not be more pleased. Also these held up fine in the ultra-hot conditions of Lake Turkana, where temperatures routinely exceed 100 degrees. Sure, I tried to put them in protected parts of my bag, but other electronics have not held up so well as the RAVPower did. I am recommending this to all my other friends in field archaeology who need a dependable device under difficult conditions.

Easily extend your phone's battery life for over a week with this monster
The RAVPower 26800mAh portable power bank is a beast of an external power source. To give you an idea of how much power 26800mAh is: the iPhone 7 internal battery is rated at 1960mAh, Samsung Galaxy S8 is 3000mAh, S8+ is 3300mAh and the Google Pixel XL is 3450mAh. I have a Galaxy S8+ and get roughly seven full recharges when I connect it to the RAVPower portable power bank. No portable battery converts 100% of its energy to the devices it is charging since there is loss in heat and transfer. Seven charges is enough to keep me going for over a week with my S8+, or is enough to get me through weekend long camping trips with my phone as well as keeping other friend's phones charged too. There are three full-size USB A output charging ports and one microUSB input port. The output ports put out power at 2.4A which is the fastest iOS smartphones can charge at, but not enough to charge at Quick Charge/Fast Charge speeds on Android devices. This RAVPower power bank cannot charge Macbooks with USB C ports, but it can charge phones like my S8+ with USB C inputs. It is a little bit heavy at a pound in weight, but it's not quite as thick as others than have less capacity than it. You can see in the image I posted that the battery is roughly the same length as the Galaxy S8+, but is about 2.5 times thicker. Being that it is a bit heavy, I tend to only use this when I know I'm going to need a lot of power. I use a smaller Anker battery for day to day needs instead.I do like that this power bank comes with a free pouch, as well as a charging plug and two flat micro USB cables which gives you a little better value for the money. Overall, I couldn't be more pleased with this power bank from RAVPower.

Sleek and super powerful! Able to charge 3 devices at one, everything from phones to large tablets such as the iPad Pro!
I am such a fan of RAVPower's powerbanks, everything from the streamlined design to the technology and size are quite honestly the best I have seen!We have quite a lot of the smaller powerbanks that we stash in our bags, in the car, and even on the bikes, and for everyday use, they really do the job. But for our family holidays, we realised that we needed a power bank that packed a larger punch as taking photos really does eat up so much of your battery throughout the day. And let's be honest, people forget things, so of course I needed a large one to keep on me at all times. This powerbank is powerful thereby making it larger than most, yet my husband can easily shove this into the pocket of his trousers and coats. Being a woman, my front pockets are smaller, but I can also stick this in the back pocket of my jeans. Of course, it's a bit noticeable due to the size, so I opt to just keep it in my handbag. The powerbank is made of a sleek hardshell plastic, so you don't have to worry about silicone picking up any dust or dirt. There are three ports for your devices and a small micro-USB port to connect to the charger. When you're charging, all of the lights will light up a solid blue, the lights hidden underneath the actual plastic, resulting in an all around seamless design. As you use the powerbank, you will find that the lights will begin to disappear one by one, telling you the overall battery life. Even after charging multiple devices throughout a 16 hour day, including tablets, we found that this thing would just not die! What really makes this product shine, however, is not just the large battery, but the fact that you can charge 3 devices AT ONCE. Everything from phones, tablets, and even large tablets such as the iPad Pro. ALL AT ONCE!For those that may have had issues with other powerbanks running hot or not holding well in high temperatures, this one did not run hot for us even once and was able to hold up in temperatures over 37 C!We love it so much that we've purchased several others to have on hand!
